Accomplishments – successfully managed and participated in multiple overlapping SAP,BW, and Hyperion projects:
SAP BW - Project manager and functional lead for the SAP Business Warehouse (BW) implementation for the
Transmission and Distribution business units. This projectrequired the creation ofan elaborate business case,a
formal projectcharter with multiple stakeholders,and a full-scale,multi-phase projectplan executed in line with
Siemens’ projectmanagement processes.This projectwas finished on time and within budgetand provided a
financial reporting solution that allowed for the following:timelydata refreshes using delta updates,scheduled
report broadcasting,increased visibilityusing drill-down,automatic master data updates from SAP, traceable
data flows,and integration with Siemens’ corporate financial statements (including an income statement,cash
flow, net capital employed,and a trial balance report).
Canada - led a multinational team to incorporate Canadian financials into the US SAP BW system. Negotiated a
win-win service level agreementwith Siemens Canada. This projectrequired close collaboration between the
US, Canadian,and German BW & finance teams and required frequentstatus updates directlyto Chief
Executives.
Project Controlling Tool- Collaborated with various financial leads from the business to create key projectmetrics
in the SAP BW system and setup scheduled reports to be delivered to project managers on a weekly basis.
SAP CompanyCode Split - Worked with the SAP team lead to create a multi-phase projectplan which involved
many dependencies,resource allocations,and continuous tracking and updating. This projectwas a company
code splitwithin SAP and required the engagementofa 3rd party companyto help us separate our information at
the database level.
Hyperion Essbase - Led the design and implementation ofa projectthat involved the creation of Hyperion
Essbase extracts from the local SAP system:this entailed working directlywith ABAP programmer(s),business
leads,and the Essbase team to ensure thatall Hyperion Financials reconciled with the source SAP system.
SAP CO Responsibilities and Accomplishments related to ERP Migration Project:
The setup and configuration of two new companies in an existing corporate SAP ERP with an emphasis on
General Controlling,Profitand CostCenter Accounting, CostElementAccounting, Profitability Analysis,and
various interfaces and reports.
Prepared,presented,and drove acceptance of the detailed projectsolution concept.
Coordinated with ABAP developers in India on a daily basis to recreate the interfaces with the commissioning
system,the Oracle Data Warehouse,and the EPM database – created design specifications and documentation.
