Performed a semester-long design project utilizing a small wind turbine in order to
recharge the battery of an electric car. Simulated power generation and consumption
throughout the process and increased efficiency through the use of a variable slip turbine
matched to the car speed.
Examined internet radio transmission protocols in a semester-long research project in
order to determine acceptable levels of data transmission and noise. Integrated various
communication and control processes in order to increase efficiency and decrease data
loss through simulations.
Performed a semester-long analysis in an interdisciplinary engineering group of the
sustainability of current cement production and its corresponding CO2 emissions.
Developed new techniques that implemented waste materials and organic nanoparticles
in order to decrease emissions and improve the overall life cycle of the product.
Worked in a year-long senior design group in order to design, integrate, test, and produce
multiple solar powered mobile drones within a mesh network. Extensive circuit design and
testing, microprocessor programming, and RF communications were performed
throughout the project. A comprehensive level of understanding of system design and
integration, solar cells, power transfer, and overall troubleshooting was achieved. Detailed
documentation is available upon request.
