2. Contingency Plan
Defined as:
• A plan designed to take account of a possible
future event or circumstance.
It is important to consider and resolve any
problems that are likely to come up, it is also
important that I think of this in advance so that
there is always a back up plan that will allow us
to film successfully.
3. Crew being late/getting lost:
• To ensure that no one will get lost we have all
arranged the specific locations and where
they are in advance and looked them up on
the internet so that everyone knows the
route. I have also allowed extra time in case
there was trouble with the traffic.
4. Cast dropping out/Unreliable actors:
• I have made sure that there are understudies
in the case of the main actor dropping out
because of such things like an emergency. I
have also done this so that if any of the actors
turn out to be unreliable then there is always
back up.
5. Continuity problems
• Sometime there is an issue with continuity
which occurs when the other cast that are not
in the frame and the crew do not pay
attention to the minor details, such as, the
placement of props. To try and resolve this I
have decided to take pictures of each shot so
that I know the exact positioning of props and
actors. This will also help in the case of having
to reshoot on a different day.
6. Battery running out on camera:
• I will make sure that the camera is fully
charged and not take it off of charge until the
last minute before having to leave to go and
shoot. If the camera is to run out then I will
also have a spare battery that will also be fully
charged so that I can replace the other
7. Problems with location:
• The only problems that may occur with the
locations that I decided to use would be that
there may be too much background noise or
the possibility of members of the public
getting in the way of the shot. To resolve this I
have decided to only go to the locations to
shoot when there won’t be that many people
there. There shouldn’t be a great problem
with the noise with the interior shots as I can
control the noise there.
