As his former Regional Retail Manager for the Gillette Retail Organization, I had the
privilege to work with Chester (“Chet”) Reitze in his capacity as District Retail Manager
for District 72. I worked with Chester in the latter part of the 1990’s, a period of
constant development for him both on a personal and business level.
Chester was an exceptional manager highly respected by his employees, peers and
management throughout the Gillette organization as a whole. He led his team in 1997 to
be the District of the Year as well as helping the Western Region to share the same
honor thanks to his work ethic and consistent leadership.
Chester contributed immensely to the Gillette Retail Organization because of his many
skills and talents; Chester excelled in the following areas:
• Business Management (Establishing objectives for his field personnel,
communicating results promptly, conducting some of the best district meetings)
• Broker management
• Topnotch administration
• Recruiting field personnel
• Training and development
What Chester achieved as a District Manager was setting the bar higher for everybody
in the organization. Chester was definitely the epitome of what an exceptional Gillette
employee should be.
