Tyco – SimplexGrinnell – Actual vs. Billed – Lead Project Manager – (2007-2008)
Corporate project with full data analysis run in DMAIC fashion. Focus on actual
service work completed with corresponding billings. Gap analysis showed a $10
revenue leak. Ran corporate wide implementation of improvements closely tied to
IT changes. (1.5 years)
Tyco-SimplexGrinnell – Metric Scorecard – Member of 5 person project team –
(2007-2008) Worked directly with Dean Seavers, (President at the time) on
developing and implementing a company scorecard. Worked closely with IT on
development and all unit business directors for identification of key metrics. (1
year)
Tyco – SimplexGrinnell – Deficiency tracking methods – Lead Project Manager –
(2011) Identification of key data components and software design with IT. Worked
closely with Service VP, Randy Derricott on delivery of final product to all districts
across US. Movement from paper methods to electronic data storage. (6 months)
Tyco – SimplexGrinnell – Margin Erosion – Lead Project Manager (2012)
Working closely with Operations directors, identification of margin erosion areas
using 80/20 rule and Lean approach. Assisted in documenting areas of needed
clean up and introduction of lean methodologies in NE districts. (1 year)
PSB – Lead Project Manager (2014) Identified and vetted sales tool to be used by 3
acquired companies having 3 very different cultures. Used House of Quality
approach. After making sure sales tool was in proper working order rolled out to all
3 companies with full training and support afterwards. Continued to report out on
engagement of the tool to upper management until all fully on board. (7 months)
PSB – Lead Project Manager (2014) - Software upgrade implementation over all
organizations (6 months)
Tyco – SimplexGrinnell – Overtime reduction – Lead Project Manger – (2013)
Worked with regional managers and VP of eastern operations on identification and
reduction of OT. Used Lean Kaizen approach to this project and ran fully in NYC
before launching company web presence for all districts to engage. (8 months)
Tyco – SimplexGrinnell – Lead Project Manager (2011) - Document imaging of
service orders – Led project to move districts to electronic document imaging of
service tickets starting with Philadelphia PA. Posted as best practice for corporate
sharing. Traveled to various districts to assist.
2. Smaller focus projects:
Tyco – SimplexGrinnell – Lead Project Manager (2013) Used Lean 5S approach to
reorganizing warehouse environment for streamlining inventory / flow movement
and meticulous marking of all equipment. (2 month blitz approach)
Tyco – SimplexGrinnell - Streamlining design packages – Lead Project Manager -
(2008) – Worked with Engineers on accelerating delivery and elimination of
mistakes from design packages of life safety systems. (3 months)
Neptune Chemical Pump Company- Programmer / Project Manager (2000)
Numerous manufacturing software implementations. Wrote numerous modules for
Accounting, Operations, MRP / BOM, Inventory and custom applications. (3 years)
Tyco – SimplexGrinnell – Lead Project Manager (2006-2014) Worked one on one
with 16 district offices simultaneously in the areas of continuous improvement
using Lean and DMAIC approach in areas such as service improvement, inventory
reduction, margin improvement, employee placement, administrative staff
reduction, warehouse organization, company merger processes (Simplex and
Grinnell) & IT installation. (over 5 years)
Privately owned business – Lead Project Manager (2010) Small manufacturing
environment – Defect identification, root cause analysis and improvements. (6
months)
Deborah Heart Hospital – Lead Programmer (2004)– Database management
project for movement of patient information from old to new system including data
mapping, transfer of all data and testing. (6 months)
A Duie Pyle – Lead programmer / Project Manager (2005) – Designed, coded,
installed and trained all employees on Automated shipping delivery system. Worked
with owners on expectations and requirements (VOC), prepared full scope of
system, programmed and trained over 300 employees on the new system. (3 years)
Methods used: PMP structure of reporting / tracking / integrity / risk / scope /
budget, Six Sigma DMAIC & Lean tools with continuous improvement approach
publishing monthly control charts for gauging control. Waterfall & Agile approach
to software introduction using leader or Scrum structure.
