HUMBLE HEART IS THE KEY TO SUCCEED
Just a normal guy who came all the way from Penang to Saito college for
diploma programme of graphic design to pursue my dream as a graphic
artists and freelance illustrator.
Currently holding SPM certification and undergoing Diploma programme
of Graphic Design
I love everything about illustration and design. The main reason that push
me toward this field is drawing. Drawing skills actually play a big part in
design, this is why I am here to hustle for my dream!

4. What’s Good
I am easily adapt to different environment as I can easily communi-
cate to other people. Besides, my friendly and approachable person-
ality makes me easier to meet new friend and widen my connection.
Currently im trying to plan my timetable for workload after the work
assigned to improve my time management so everything could be
done professionally.Besides, joining more
competition to improve self skills in term of technical or soft skills and
also gain more
exposure and know the standard of the competition so i can make
myself better to reach that.

5. Passion
Rules
Open a concept store which combines with café and sells arts and craft.I would like to con-
duct different kind of workshop time to time which can let me enjoy teaching and socialising
with others people which is interested at the same field.
What drives me to succeed is my passion towards the arts and design subject.The passion
is always the motivation for me to continue pursue my dream. Besides that, I feel that con-
nection in the industry also very important as I can know more people with different back-
ground and characters which can enhance my social skills and soft skills of handling people.
I like to draw or illustrate fantasy stuff which comes out from my mind and something alter the
references and comes out with my own works. Branding is much likely the most interested
subject in design. I also enjoy doing craft items or handmade products and make it on the
market and sell it.

6. Packaging
MY LEARNING JOURNEY
Personally thought packaging is the toughest subject all the time in Diploma of Graphic Design and
it was one of the subject that I never thought will be appearing in this diploma. Let’s see what I did
during Packaging 1 and 2. Basically I did a lot of mock up , trial and error design and lots of
redoing! It is like a love hate subject to me, its really tough because we need to focus on all the
details and finishing which our lecturer very picky about it but the finishing product it’s totally worth
the efforts and it is satisfying. I learn a lot of details stuff that usually I wont take care of like the
thickness and type of the material can really affect the final product and other else. This can really
relate to the industry because nowadays all the things need to be wrap up with nicely done
packaging only can attract customers and increase the sales and the details when doing all this
taught me how to handle things carefully!

8. Computer
Graphic Design
Computer Graphic Design is all about Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. I have
gone through illustrator which teach us about vector art and basic tool skills such as pen
tools which plays important role in the Illustrator. For Adobe Photoshop, I had learned about
photo montaging , editing and digital illustration. Photoshop is a software that can unveil
everyone’s imagination by their superb multifunction tools by creating and editing the photos
and drawing.
Last but not least the Adobe InDesign, which acts like a hub for everything from Adobe Illus-
trator and Photoshop for editorial design and books publication. Between the process, after
done a lot of researches and trial, I learnt a lot of layout design which is very important for a
publication.

In CGD 1 & 2, we are trained on illustrator and photoshop skills.Tracing is one of the core
practice in CGD1 and it took me for few weeks to complete it since the image is very
cimplicated which is Star Wars Millenium Falcon lego version.For the CGD2, i learnt alot of
photo montaging and editing skills by using different sources to create one movie poster and
others.Assignment above shown is the horror movie poster that i did during CGD2.

Typography
Before entering design field, I got no idea about what is typography until I learn it. We learn
about the anatomy of each typography, class of typography and the importance of typogra-
phy hierarchy. Typography is all about details and knowledge about them so we can know
which typefaces and fonts give different kind of feeling and meaning and this is what so
important about typography. Everything in the industry requires the skills of typography and
the knowledge about them makes me easier to identify which project requires which kind of
typefaces and successfully convey the messages to audiences.

ACA (Adobe Certified Associate)
In January 2018, I attended the ACA photoshop workshop as
selected student of Saito University College.
The workshop was conducted by the ACI which is Adobe
Certified Instructor and what we learn during this workshop is
photo montaging skills and some advice while using photoshop
CC.I gained lots of new knowledge about the function and tools
of Photoshop.
I have succeed to pass the test and received the honour as an
Adobe Certified Associate in Photoshop.

In June 2017 i participated Libresse Premium Design by Libresse which is a competition of Bag
Design.Libresse is a woman’s product , that’s why im going for a postive vibes that showing the pride
of woman by showing no matter who you are, you are always fabulous and live your own way.Flower
elements used to support the concept idea.

Fashion Design Top 9 Finalist
In February 2017,I participated the Fashion Desgin competition which organized by Sunway
Student Council and even though i’m a graphic design students but i really enjoy doing
fashion illustration also.This really refresh my thoughts about the Fashion and gained alot of
experience too and the memories was unforgettable.

18. Internships

INTERNSHIPS EXPERIENCES
My internship experience is well done and I learnt a lot of things throughout the process but
also faced some hardships during the internships program. First thing first , the task assigned
for me is mostly rebranding project and some social media banner and advertisement. The
details have been mentioned in the weekly report for the works assigned to me. Problems that
I’ve faced is the management of workload is very imbalance, sometimes they will give this
interns with a lot of works and other interns got nothing to do , for an example, I already
received one project which I need to focus on but other director will assign me another project
which will affect the progress of mine to submit before the deadline but I take it as the learning
progress which give me the chance of learning more things and enhance my skills of the
software like AI and PS. I overcome this by taking as a learning process and trying my best to
submit before the deadline which can also improve my sense of responsibility and I can see
the obvious differences between before internships and after because now I have become
more responsible to work and less procrastinate for the task assigned.

19. INTERNSHIPS EXPERIENCES
Besides that, one of the biggest accomplishment during the internships is I get to follow the
director to meet the clients of PNB company which I feel very proud of it. I get to know how
agency deals with clients and the requirements from the clients. You can know how ridiculous
the client can be , they can suddenly change what they want initially and want you to change
in such short time, there is some chance of changing back the older idea too. Anyway, I still
get to know the clients couldn’t really accept new idea and proposal , they like to stick back
with formal and conservative ideas which really boring but because it’s clients , we can only
do what they want and our job is make them happy and satisfied. That’s why I feel that when I
work in the advertising agency , I only do what people’s need but couldn’t show the creativity
inside me, but of course there is some clients which is very open minded and dare to receive
new ideas and proposal to make their brand or product pop and I like to see more of this
scene to happen in this industry cause I personally feel that Malaysia’s Advertising industry is
still gloomy and hope that new generation can really sparks the industry.
