Dear Paths to Peace
I first met Chaya Esther last year when she approached me as the program coordinator
for a political group on campus. She asked that I partake in a conference she was
organizing regarding the importance of pluralism in politics and academia. I agreed,
and the conference was a huge success. It received coverage in the national media and
was also influential in regenerating an atmosphere that combines pluralism and
political activism on campus at Bar-Ilan University.
Chaya Esther attends my lecture course on Israeli politics. She often initiates
discussion with me about academic aspects of politics as well as engaging in
discussion about the more practical aspects of political campaigning.
As part of her activism, Chaya Esther is a member of an Israeli student delegation
going to the UK to represent a spectrum of Israeli political outlooks as part of a
general campaign against ‘Israel Apartheid week’ on British university campuses.
Chaya Esther is focused and serious student, who takes her future and that of her
country extremely seriously. She is motivated, hard-working and very passionate
about her beliefs; yet always willing to listen respectfully to other's views and
opinions. She is very a dynamic character active both in the social and political
realms.
Consequently, I strongly recommend Chaya Esther for this program. I believe that she
will contribute greatly to it with her intelligence, knowledge, drive and enthusiasm.
