Charles is the NASA inspection capability leader and facility manager for the Metallurgical and Nondestructive Evaluation Laboratory at White Sands Test Facility (WSTF). Nestled just west of Baylor Pass in Las Cruces, WSTF is managed by Johnson Space Center to provide NASA the expertise and infrastructure to test and evaluate spacecraft materials, components, and rocket propulsion systems to enable the safe human exploration and use of space.
