Charles Grand John
 His trails
 His Personal claims
 His acceptance ofWorship as God
 His claims confirmed by others
Not one recognized
religious leaders has ever
claimed to be God: that is
with exceptions to Jesus
Christ.
 His teachings were ultimate, final
 He never added any further after
thoughts or revisions
 He never retracted or changed
 He never guessed, supposed or
spoke with any uncertainty.
 This is all so contrary to human
teachers and teachings
 His teachings were ultimate, final
 He never added any further after
thoughts or revisions
 He never retracted or changed
 He never guessed, supposed or
spoke with any uncertainty.
 This is all so contrary to human
teachers and teachings
 Mark 14:61-64
 The gospels clearly mentions that
alleged crime for which Jesus was tried
and convicted was Blasphemy. Jesus
has been claiming supernatural power
which in a human being was
blasphemy.
 Mark 14:61-64
 When Jesus was question about his
Divinity: He accepted the challenge and
HE claims to be all three (The messiah,
the son of man,The son of God)
 Humeis Legete is the Greek idiom for
Yes
 Frank Morison says “Jesus of Nazareth was
condemned to death, not upon the
statements of his accusers, but upon an
admission extorted from him under oath”
 Hilarian Fedler “This inspection of the trail
of Jesus should be sufficient to give us the
invincible conviction that the saviour
confessed His true divinity before his Judges
 We see that Jesus was crucified for being
who He really was, for being the son of God
 He was the son of the Blessed
 He was the one who would sit at the right hand of
power
 He was the song of man who would come on the
clouds of heaven.
 Equality with the father
 Did Jesus claim to be God in the other parts of the
Scripture ?
 John 10:30-33- "I and my father are one". When Jesus
said the statement the juice two stones to kill him.
 Robertson claims that "the Crisp statement is the
climax of Christ claim concerning the relationship
between the father and himself which stirred the
Pharisees to an uncontrollable anger
 Equality with the father
 John 5:17, 18
JesusAnswered, My worketh
hither to and I work” Jews sought
even more to kill Jesus not
because he broke the Sabbath but
because He claimed to be God.
 I AM
 John 8:58- verily, verily, I say unto
you, Before Abraham was, I AM
▪Prefaced by a Double Amen
 Jesus is due the same honour as that given to
God
 John 5:23, 24
▪All men should honour the son, even as
they honour the father.....Verily, verily, I
say unto you, he that hears my word, and
believeth on Him that sent me, hath
everlasting life.
▪Jesus claims to be worshipped as God.
 Know me
 John 8:19
 They said to him, where is your father?
Jesus answered,Ye neither know me,
nor, my father: If you had known me,
you should have known my father also.
 He asked for and accepted worship as
God
 Worship Reserved for God only
▪To prostrate and fall is a sign of
worship and adoration which can be
performed for God (John 4:20-22:
Acts 8:27)
 Jesus ReceivedWorship as God and
accepted it.
▪Mathew 8:2 –Leper worshipping him
▪John 9:35-39- Born Blind worships
▪Mathew 14:33- Disciples worshipped
▪John 20-27-29-Thomas worshipping
God, “My LORD and My GOD”
 Jesus ReceivedWorship as God and
accepted it.
▪Mathew 8:2 –Leper worshipping him
▪John 9:35-39- Born Blind worships
▪Mathew 14:33- Disciples worshipped
▪John 20-27-29-Thomas worshipping
God, “My LORD and My GOD”
 Jesus contrasted with others
▪ Centurion falls before Peter and adores
him- Peter did not accept that and scolds
him. (Acts 10: 25, 26)
▪John falls before angel- Angel asked him
to worship God alone (Revelation 19:10)
▪These both events directly contradict to
Jesus: HE ACCPETEDTHEWORSHIP
AND ADORATION cos HEWAS A GOD.
 CONCLUSION
▪William Biederwolf comes to a
conclusion
▪A man who can read the newTestament and
not see the Christ claim to be more than a
man, can look all over the sky at the high
noon on a cloudless day and not see the sun.
 HE claimed to be able to forgive sins as
Evidence of God (Mark 2:5, Luke 7:48)
 Jesus is Immutable (unchangeable) -
Hebrews 13:8
 Jesus Claimed to be “THE LIFE” (John 14:6)
 In him is LIFE (1 John 5:11, 12)
 Jesus Has authority over everything (John
5:27)
 Based on the Direct and Indirect Claims
of JESUS during his earthly ministry,
from, sociological, historical,
scriptural records we understand HE IS
GOD.
 He expressed his divinity clearly at
many instances via experiences,
speeches, deeds etc...
