Chawn Peterson is a results-oriented leader with a track record for achieving
challenging operational and sales objectives. With an impressive history of
fostering and promoting start-up organizations, Chawn possesses a unique
blend of both hands-on experience and big picture focus. Chawn has 18+
years of multi-industry operational experience which offers our clients a
unique outlook which gives our clients service oriented toward a successful
outcome to their staffing needs.
Chawn Peterson, born and raised in Oregon. Grew up in Eugene, a duck
fan. Raised two beautiful daughters to adulthood. Has a grandson who is 6
years old, a 1 year old granddaughter and a faithful friend & walking partner
Ellie the black lab .
12. Rudi Bellinazzo is the Director of Staffing & Recruiting
Rudi has been in the executive search, recruitment and staffing industry since 1999.
He worked for the executive search team of one of the largest international search and
staffing firms prior to starting his company Tri-Star Search & Staffing in 2002. He has
since joined the CER team.
Rudi developed and managed numerous clients ranging from small start-ups to
Fortune 500 companies. His experience includes recruitment of finance and
accounting individuals from staff level to CFO, along with relationship building at all
levels within organizations.
Prior to 1999, he worked in various capacities in the accounting and finance profession
from staff to controller level, working with both Fortune 500 publicly traded and medium
sized privately held companies.
Rudi is a graduate of the University of Portland with a Bachelors of Business
Administration in Accounting and is a member of the Institute of Management
Accountants.
13. Edrie joined the Competitive Edge team in December 2009 and became the lead
recruiter in our engineering division. Edrie now has over 18 years experience in the
recruiting industry.
She began her career with Remedy Staffing in CA then relocated to Seattle, WA where
she managed a downtown temporary staffing service for over 10 years. In addition to
her recruiting strengths in niche and high skill level engineering and marketing/sales
positions, Edrie brings government sector experience with a variety of positions, as well
as extensive staffing experience within the legal industry.
Edrie relocated to OR in 1998 and loves dog friendly Portland. Her “children” are three
Chihuahuas, a miniature dachshund and a cat. Edrie is the current President of
Portlandia Club, a local business networking group which is also philanthropic to
women in need in our community. In her spare time, Edrie is a huge Seattle Mariner’s
fan and U of O Duck fan. Edrie is also gourmet cook and loves to travel.
14. 15 years of recruitment and recruitment advertising experience
As Senior Account Executive at TMP Worldwide, Susan designed and
developed the State of Oregon’s recruitment advertising account. Upon
leaving TMP, Susan was invited by DAS to join the State of Oregon.
Susan’s first service at the State of Oregon was as the IS Co-op internet
recruiter working with 8 State agencies to assist them through their Y2K
hiring needs. During this project, Susan worked closely with representatives
from ODOT’s Recruitment team.
Upon completion of that assignment, she worked at DAS-IRMD for the Deputy
CIO, Mike Freese, as DAS’ IT Recruiter and IRMD Office Manager. Susan
handled all levels of IRMD’s IT recruitments from Programmer Analyst to CIO.
She now works with numerous clients in both the public- and private-sectors,
and has sourced candidates for positions ranging across all levels of IT.
15. Diane Gosnell brings over 20 years of experience to Competitive Edge
Recruiting. After 10 years working in marketing and product sales for an
international manufacturer, Gosnell made the transition to the talent
acquisition side of the fence. With early experience as an Executive
Recruiter on the agency side at Emerald Staffing, and later as a
Corporate Recruiter at Meritage, Lime Financial and APCON, Diane
brings a unique perspective to CER, producing positive outcomes for
both client and candidate. Diane’s specialty at CER is in the
Engineering and IT arenas. Diane Gosnell holds a BS in Business
Administration from Portland State University.
16. Todd joined CER in 2010 as part of the Engineering recruiting team.
Todd started his career in cooking in 1985 at north bank restaurant. Todd left the North Bank
Restaurant to take a position at a well renowned restaurant called The Oregon Electric Station,
there he worked for Chef Thomas Smith and learned the necessity of ingredients, lacking the right
steps in preparation can be construed as being inferior, this is where Todd learned to always be
prepared.
Todd continued in his career as a Chef and moved from Eugene to Olympia, Washington where
he accepted an Executive Chef position at Panorama Restaurant. That is where he learned how
to manage people. It is not easy to manage people. I learned to professionally challenge my staff
while learning how to deal with individual personalities with direct communication and a positive
attitude.
From Chef to Executive Recruiter with CER, it has been a seamless transition and natural for
Todd. Already Todd has seen the success you can have when you are dedicated and committed
to a process. Todd takes his past experiences of managing, preparing and having a “devils in the
details” approach to his already successful desk.
Todd has 3 children Anthony, Zachary, Isabella and a black cat named Losty.
17. Originally from Springfield, OR and a
graduate of Thurston High School,
Chelsea McKay joined Competitive Edge
Recruiting as an Executive Recruiter.
She brings with her 4 years of office
management experience in the recruiting
industry. Chelsea has naturally
acclimated into the role of an Executive
Recruiter. Chelsea lives in Beaverton,
OR with her husband, son Gabriel and
daughter Elliana.
18. Originally from Eugene, OR and a
graduate of Thurston High School, Katie
McKay joined Competitive Edge
Recruiting as an Business Development
Manager. She brings with her 3 years of
prior recruiting experience. Katie has a
positive energy that is contagious. Katie

of Beauty. She lives in SE Portland, has a
