3. Hb.put
• The design of hb.put is meant to be simple
and flexible. For a given table and column
family, hb.put allows the creation of a list of

key.” This option is designed for inputting
multiple columns into the same row-key

• This function is used to retrieve the data that
has been stored in the table.

6. Listing a Table
• Syntax:
hbase(main):001:0 > list
*list is the command that is used to list all the
tables in HBase. Given below is the syntax of
the list command.

7. Disabling a Table
• To delete a table or change its settings, you
need to first disable the table using the
disable command. You can re-enable it using
the enable command.
• Syntax:
disable ‘emp’
8. Enabling a Table
• Syntax to enable a table:
enable ‘emp’
• is_enabled:
This command is used to find whether a table is
enabled. Its syntax is as follows:
