1. Profile
Extremely dedicated to my future career and have already taken steps to
build skills that will assist along the way through volunteering, to date
achieving 2000 hours. I have also completed my NCS programme this July,
choosing Fylde Coast Womens Aid as our charity.
I wish to purse a route working in counselling young people, particularly
adolescents. In order to achieve this I endeavour to achieve a high standard
of education at A-level with the ambition to proceed to university.
I am proud to have represented my local village as their Gala Queen for
2014/2015. This required a vast amount of organisation and self discipline
in order to attend all engagements. In addition to this motivating and
engaging the retinue in order to be on top form.
Experience
Volunteer Coach, Gym Mania- December 2014- January 2016
Encouraging young people to learn new skills through building their
confidence and communication. Ensuring that all aspects of health and
safety are adhered to.
Peer Mentor, Millfield Science and Performing Arts College September
2015- July 2016
Weekly catch-up with students who may be having a difficult time during
their school life, offering advice and signposting to senior staff if there
issues that are outside my abilities. This offers support and guidance to the
student on a peer-to-peer level.
Nursery Assistant, Happy Days Nursery- March 2015 (2 weeks)
Week 1 consisted of assisting in the pre-school section, monitoring child
development through play. Using a variety of methods such as paint, water,
singing and story telling. Week 2 took place in the early years section, and
consisted mainly of routine for the babies, aiding in feed time and
stimulation through music.
Performing- Various Locations- 2012- Present
Since 2013, I have performed at a variety of charity events as a vocalist, all
on a voluntary basis. Covering genres such as big band, jazz as well as being
part of an a cappella group and the school choir, where I now take a senior
role in coordinating the young team members.
