Department Manager
The responsibilities of the department manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate the operations
for the organization. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily
operations, implementing efficient and innovative procedures to increase productivity.
Education and Experience
Associate’s Degree in Management or a related field.
3-5 Years of experience
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Must have knowledge of business and management principles, resource allocation,
human resources, leadership and coordination of people and resources.
Must have knowledge of personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and
benefits and personnel information systems.
Must have knowledge of customer services, including customer needs, meeting quality
standards and evaluating customer satisfaction.
Must be able to manage one’s own time as well as others.
Must have knowledge of administrative and clerical procedure, such as word processing,
managing files and records and other office procedures and terminology.
Must have computer skills and be able to use spreadsheets and databases and use word
processing applications.
Must have knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling
products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration,
sales techniques, and sales control systems.

Floor Supervisor
Directly supervises and coordinates the activities of production and operating workers.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of supervisory experience
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Must have knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and coordination
of people and resources.
Must have knowledge of business and management principles involving strategic
planning, resource allocation, human resources, leadership technique and production
methods.
Must have knowledge of procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training,
compensation and benefits and personnel information systems.
Must have customer service knowledge and be able to solve complex problems and
troubleshoot.
Must be able to manage one’s own time as well as others.
Must have computer skills and able to use spreadsheets and databases and use word
processing applications.

COMPENSATION PLAN
Maintenance Worker
Perform work involved in building maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, or the
structure of an establishment in repair.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of maintenance experience
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Must be able to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and
what kind of maintenance is needed.
Must be able to determining the kind of tools and equipment is needed to do a job.
Must have knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the maintenance,
and construction of on-site building and repair.
Must be able to learn, listen, think critically, monitor operations, read, speak, and write.
Must have knowledge of safety guidelines.

Customer Service and Sales Rep
Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and
services and interact with customers.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Must be able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of
alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Must have knowledge of customer needs, meet quality standards for service, and
evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Must be able to learn, listen, think critically, read, speak, and write work related
information.
Must be able to solve complex problems and troubleshoot.

COMPENSATION PLAN
Shipping and Warehouse Clerk
Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment,
including assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving,
unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the
transportation of products.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Short-term on-the-job training
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures, such as word processing, managing
files and records, and other office procedures.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other
techniques for maximizing the distribution of goods.
Must be able to learn, listen, think critically, monitor operations, read, speak, and write.
Must have problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Must have time management skills.
Must be able to manage material resources such as appropriate use of equipment,
facilities, and materials need to perform tasks.
Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
Must be able to perform equipment maintenance, select equipment, and install
equipment.

COMPENSATION PLAN
Forklift Operator
Operate forklift or tractor equipped to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard or
similar location.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
Proper certifications in operation of industrial trucks and forklifts
Short-term on-the-job training
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Must have knowledge of safe and efficient operation of forklifts and similar equipment.
Must have knowledge of workplace safety and security policies and procedures.
Must have customer service skills.
Knowledge of raw materials, productions processes, and quality control.
Must be able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of
alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Internal Alignment
Alternate ranking is the performance appraisal method for employees where assessor selects the
best and worst employees based on certain trait/criterion and ranks them accordingly.

COMPENSATION PLAN
Employee Contributions
The general manager will attempt to increase productivity by implementing a team based
incentive plan.
1. An increase of 2% of an employee’s base wage will be given annually, even if productivity
does not increase, to keep up with annual cost of living increases.
2. A detailed list of what is expected for increased performance in the company will
communicated to employees so they will know what is expected of them. This will include
customer service and quality guidelines to follow to increase customer satisfaction to
increase productivity and to decrease losses.
3. Incentive rewards will be calculated by adding and additional 2.5% of each employee’s
annual salary. If productivity decreases then no bonus will be awarded. External factors
like economic conditions will be factored. The information used would be the company’s
accident reports, frequency of customer complaints, financial records, and economic
reports. Bonuses will be awarded annually. This plan will be communicated in the form
of a company-wide meeting.
4. Examinations of historical documents for patterns, both economically and company
based will ensure validity.
