CASS CUMERFORD
The thin 71 year old was born in Adelaide (South Australia). His
mother died when he was 10 and , with no parental guidance, by
17 was a juvenile delinquent.
Fortunately, after reading Jack Kerouac's novel "The Dharma
Bums" he wised up and became a "romantic" beatnik and (with
no money but remarkable optimism) drifted around Australia for 5
years searching for (1) love and (2) enlightenment.
Found some and settled in Sydney.
Studied acting for 2 years then went to work for an s.p.bookie .
Twenty years later, at age 48, resumed acting.
Has natural Australian accent (plus good Texas, Louisiana and
Bronx )
