1. What is Sussex Green Living and what do we do?
Sussex Green Living is an environmental education not-for-profit social
enterprise. Through our website, social media and growing network of families, we
aim to inspire people to:
Live a more resilient, self-reliant, environmentally friendly and connected way of
life, that honours and respects the web of life, of which we are an integral part. In
turn, helping to conserve natural resources and protecting the planet for future
generations. We offer:
Green sessions for schools, children’s groups, birthday parties,
events and festivals. Our sessions include fun games, eco art (junk
modeling), the history of plastic, history of rubbish, upcycled gardening and
much more. Covering subjects such as geography, science, art & design and
history.
Help schools prepare for ‘Eco School flags’.
Adult talks on recycling, inspirational upcycling and green living.
Provide advertising opportunities for green, ethical and local
businesses, helping spread the green word.
Help set up and run recycling schemes (diverting landfill waste) to raise
money for wildlife and children. Teaching children and their families about
the value of waste as a resource.
Green educational event stand.
