1. Something about me
Hello! My name is Carlos. I have a degree in Graphic Design from the Instituto Departamental de Bellas Artes (Fines Arts
Institute) from Cali - Colombia.
I have 3 years of experience, I started working even before I graduated from the university, I used to work as a freelance
and asistant designer in VMG agency for 1 year, then I worked in EME Marketing & Consulting as a Graphic Designer for 2
years and at the same time I worked in Burica as In-house designer for almost 10 months.
In 2014, I won my first design contest, I designed the poster for the 39th Festival de Musica Andina Mono Nuñez (Festival
Andina Music Mono Nuñez), folk music festival. At the same time, I took some courses to enhance my knowledges in After
Effects (basic) and I earned a diploma in video game developement and design.
My graphic design skills include: brand identity, illustration, web layout and landing pages (and diagramation). I consider
myself a person who likes to learn and receive suggestions and advice about the designs as a means of professional
development, and the desire to meet my employer’s and their client’s needs.

• 2012; City and Deparment Corporate Identity. I participed in a university contest where all the participants were to
create a brand that represented the best qualities of the city and deparment, I won the contest.
• 2013; Poster and Identity Festival Design Contest (39th Festival Andina Music Mono Nuñez). I did research, leading to
the idea of rain as the main poster concept, then I proceeded to Illustrate and digitalize the poster.
• 2014; Christmas Burica campaign. Our team planned a campaign to launch the Christmas season, highlighting discounts,
creating the illustrations, supporting the tag lines, landing page design, banners web and printing
• 2015: Relaunch Butacos webpage, I redesigned the website, changed the overall concept and mascot design as personify-
cation of brand. My duties were: illustrations of mascot redisgn, social media design, website diagramation.

I have for over 3 years experience as a Graphic Designer. I’ve worked as an asistant, junior, in-house graphic designer and
freelancer supporting the company in reaching it’s financial goals. My experience includes digital designing, designing
