- Develop their listening skills by listening to a song.

developing their gross motor skills as well.

3. • Teaching approach: The lesson is based on the TPR, and organized
through the PPP procedure (Harmer,2010).
• Materials and resources: flashcards made on A4 paper with big pictures of
the different parts of the face and another with the face- video audio (ears, eyes
nose and mouth song)
• Pedagogical use of ICT in class: In this lesson, a video will be used to
support the presentation and exposure of the students to the teaching point.
Activities are organized through the combination of audio and video (audiovisual
material) enhance language learning and acquisition.
• Seating arrangement: Students will be sitting in a circle on the floor in order
to facilitate visual contact and interaction within the group. At some points in the
lesson, they’ll move around the class.
• Assessment: what will be assessed and how: I’ll check that students
comprehend and identify the different parts of the face by watching them mime
the word, or pointing out the part of the body.
ROUTINE: 5 MINUTES
PURPOSE: to start the lesson, get students into the mood for work,
establish a comfortable environment
I’ll get into the classroom and greet students: “Hello! How are you today?” EA:
“Hello!”
4. I’ll ask students to sit in a circle on the floor and we’ll sing the usual welcome
song:

WARM-UP: 10 MINUTES
PURPOSE: to introduce the topic and the teaching points
Now Teacher shows a folder and says: “I found this folder on the street. It has
YELLOW ROOM written on it. Do you want to see what is inside of it?
(encouraging children to say YES) “Yes!” Oh, look there is a number (picture of
number 1), what number is it? And this one? ( I will follow the same procedure
with the rest of the numbers up to 10)
PRESENTATION: 10 MINUTES
5. PURPOSE: to further expose the learners to the target language, to
foster comprehension of a very simple story.
She opens the folder and says.” Look, there are some pictures here. What do
you think they are about? Colours? Toys ? Clothes? Body? Benjamin what do
you think they are about? , “ Colours? “ “No”, ( teachers touches her arms)
“Anna?” “ Clothes?”, “No”,” Pedro, what do you think?”( teacher touches his
face, nose, eyes) “Body?” “ Yes, you are right! Well done!”
“Now, look!”, “This is a face” (pointing to the big picture of the face that will be
stuck on the wall) but the face is incomplete. Let`s look if there is something in
the folder. “Look, there are ears! (taking out from the folder, the ears` picture)
who wants to stick them on the picture? (I will invite a child to stick them on the
right place)What are they? (I will ask) Ears (it is expected students repeat the
word). Ohh and here there are eyes! Eyes. So we have ears and eyes( I will
point out at the pictures) . Ears and eyes( students will repeat) . And what is
this? A Nose! Nose( children say) . Now we have three parts of the face. One,
ears, two, eyes and three nose. And here we have another one, what part of the
face is missing? Mouth ! ( children say). Yes! It`s the Mouth!. Mouth.
So, how many parts of the face do we have? Four (the children say). Let`s go to
remind them. Ears, eyes, nose and mouth. ( the teacher points the body parts
and encourages them to do the same)
6. DEVELOPMENT :13 minutes
Activity 1: 10 minutes
The teacher gives the children a drawing of a face where they have to stick the
missing parts. Then they can write their names above the drawings and we can
stick them in the classroom.
7. TRANSITION: You have done very well! Do you want to see a video and sing
about our body?
Activity 2
Video watching :3 minutes
I’ll invite students to sit on the floor, watch a video and sing along:. EARS,
EYES, NOSE AND MOUTH song.

12. Look! I bring a friend today ( I will show them the baby doll). Her name is
Camila. Say hello to Camila ( kids say hello)
“Look! She has beautiful green eyes. What colour are my eyes. ( I point out my
eyes and kids will say green). The I will ask some of them: What colour are your
eyes Tomas?What colour are your eyes Ana?
PRESENTATION: 10 minutes
Look at Camila. She has two ears, two eyes, a nose and a mouth. What other
body part does she have? ( I will point out the different parts of the body through
the baby doll). HEAD, SHOULDERS AND TOES.
TRANSITION: Do you want to move your body? Do you want to watch a
video and sing?
Video watching
I will invite them to see a video and sing a song about these body parts. HEAD,
SHOULDERS, KNEES AND TOES. In this video they will not only see the new
vocabulary but also the introduced in the last class. Through mimic and
pointing out the body parts, the will sing the song along the video.

I will give them a bingo card, with three drawings of the body parts.
“ Listen, we are going to play a bingo. Do you want to play?
14. I’ll give them a card with four pictures and they have to put a cross on it, when
the word is said. (if the head`s picture is said, they put a cross on the picture)
I will say “Pay attention. When I take a flashcard from this box, I will say which
part of the body is and you have to put a cross on. Do you understand?
(expected answer: Yes) Let`s play!
TRANSITION: You have played very good! Now I want to see if you
remember what we have seen.
Activity 2- 10 minutes
Then I will give them in an A4 paper, the image Frankenstein that they have to
colour according to the instructions I will give to them.
15. “Kids, we are going to colour some parts of the body. I will pick out a colour
pencil from my pencilcase and I will rod one dice. You have to colour the part of
the body the dice falls and the colour that the teacher picks out. Pay attention
and listen. Have you understood? Are you ready? “(It is expected the kids say
yes)
For example:
Colour the eyes brown
Colour the nose orange
Colour the mouth red
Meanwhile they are coloring, I will go through the desks observing their
performance.
TRANSITION: Excellent work kids!
16. CLOSURE :1 minute
“Look at Camila. She feels asleep. I think it’s time to leave”. Let`s sing the
Goodbye song to Camila!
