This document discusses different types of computer game graphics, including pixel art, concept art, texture art, background graphics, and print media art. Pixel art uses raster graphics to edit images at the pixel level and was commonly used in older and limited games. Concept art conveys visual designs before a product is finalized. Texture art simulates or creates actual surface textures. Background graphics integrate sprites, or 2D images, into larger game scenes. Print media art, like box covers and packaging, aims to attract customers through eye-catching and concept artwork related to the game.
2. Pixel Art
Pixel art is a form of digital art, created through the use of raster
graphics software, where images are edited on the pixel level.
Graphics in most old (or relatively limited) computer, console,
graphing calculator and mobile phone video games are mostly
pixel art.

3. Concept Art
Concept art is a form of illustration where the main goal is to
convey a visual representation of a design, idea, and/or mood for
use in films, video games, animation, or comic books before it is
put into the final product. Concept art is also referred to as visual
development and/or concept design. This term can also be
applied to retail design, set design, fashion design and
architectural design.

5. Texture Art
In art, the surface quality or appearance of a work; how the
surface feels or how a work looks like it would feel. Texture, one
of the formal art elements, can be experienced by the senses of
sight and touch. Consequently, it can be simulated by the artist,
for example making something look as though it is rough, or it
can be made actual, for example the surface being textured
either because of thickly applied paint, or the addition of
granular material to the paint, such as sand.

7. Background Graphics
In computer graphics, a sprite is a two-dimensional image or
animation that is integrated into a larger scene. Initially including
just graphical objects handled separately from the memory
bitmap of a video display, this now includes various manners of
graphical overlays.
Originally, sprites were a method of integrating unrelated
bitmaps so that they appeared to be part of the normal bitmap
on a screen, such as creating an animated character that can be
moved on a screen without altering the data defining the overall
screen.

9. Print Media Art
Print media art is important to games, this is because, a lot of
people are attracted by colourful art designs for games, whilst
others think they look cool or awesome, this is the same with
posters, packaging etc. Game packaging, game packing, is great
but only the better editions of games now come with packaging
recently.
The box cover for the game has to relate to the game itself, it
must be eye catching, it must have the title of the game on the
front, box art is never game play of a game, it is usually
something like concept art, this is to make the game look more
flashy to others and make them want to buy it.
