I have known Ms Lin, the applicant, for more than 3 years. When she was admitted to
Hainan University, I was assigned by the school to manage the class of which she is
one member, and I offered the class two courses, namely English Listening and
English for Economics and Trade, at different semesters. I had a lot of contacts with
her and I am deeply impressed by her active participation in classroom discussions
and other academic activities.
I do think it is the right time for the applicant to join the graduate administration
program. First, she has been always interested in business administration. Second, she
has finished such courses as Economics, Accounting and Finance, laying a solid
foundation for the study of business administration. Third, she has developed a sound
interpersonal communication skill, which might help her to benefit more in the
graduate program. Fourth, she has a relatively good command of English.
Ms. Lin is creative in management. She always comes up with new ideas in
organizing activities. She has a clear mind when she is given a task. She is well aware
of what the objectives are, what measures to be taken and who should be involved.
She is also very skillful in interpersonal communication and her innovative idea helps
her to lead in decision making process. In addition, Ms. Lin is very nice, kind, easy-
going and helpful. She is open to new ideas. She is strict in self-discipline and very
royal and faithful. All these are important qualities for a professional in business.
In the past three years, Ms. Lin has already armed herself with necessary knowledge
and skills for further study in the field of business management. Her passion and skills
in organizing extracurricular activities might be seen as a good indicator that she is
ready for the study in graduate administration program.
