Certified Elementary General Educator and K-12 Spanish Teacher. Fluent in Spanish: spoken and

 Created a fun learning environment with games, assignments, and conversations with the use of the
SMRT curriculum.

Orientation Advisor Summers of 2010-2013
 Assisted university advisors with academic counseling for a group of 35 incoming students during the
transition period of the first two weeks at the university.
 Led groups of new students through orientation sessions, advising sessions, and academic counseling.
 Provided opportunities for team building activities on a personal level such as Playfair, RecSplosion,
and “Ice-Breakers.”
 Obtained management, leadership, integration, and partnership skills. Reviewed all insurance denials,
making necessary corrections, and submitting appeals, if necessary.
Office of Global Initiatives – Cheney, WA
Global Ambassador 9/2010 – 9/2013
 Introduced incoming international students to faculty, staff, and administration at Eastern Washington
University.
 Offered assistance to students with language barriers in Spanish which included assistance in cell
phone services, bank account set-up, guiding them to use local transportation to get to local markets
and entertainment.
 Planned 10-15 cultural activities per quarter to provide the “American culture”, an exciting and diverse
experience to the international students in the Cheney, Spokane, and Northern Idaho areas.
 Managed cultural based trips to other cities as well as budgeted time and money for certain activities
and meal plans.
 Active team member in budgeting, organizing, and leading cultural trips to cities in Washington State.
