estabelecido. O GH pode
modular a produção de
esteróides gonadais
aumentando a produção
no fígado de insulin-like
growth factor-I (IGF-I)
ou agindo diretamente
sobre os receptores de
GH localizados nas
células da granulosa e
do corpo lúteo no ovário humano. Os pacientes com DGH isolado
apresenta baixa estatura longitudinal ou linear, adiposidade do tronco, e
puberdade atrasada.
seja cultural, conforme
trabalhos efetuados no
Japão em que as
crianças optavam por
crescer mais do que ser
baixas em estatura e
terem as características
adultas antecipadas,

GH-growth hormone appears to increase the rate of sexual maturation,
since a pattern of gonadotropin secretion of puberty is established. GH
may modulate the production of gonadal steroids increase insulin-like

production or acting directly
on the receptors for GH
recently localized in granular
cells and corpus luteum in the
human ovary. Patients with
GHD isolated have
longitudinal or linear features
low height, trunk fat, and
delayed puberty.
However, patients with GHD
isolated ultimately undergo
spontaneous puberty, but
should not forget that
inevitably will have short
stature and that the so called growth spurt may not be the intended
target, if you have the pulse of the spurt, and women with defects the
GH receptor is fertile, suggesting that GH probably acts as a co-
gonadotropin to enhance the actions of LH (luteinizing hormone) and
FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) on the production of estradiol and
4. progesterone . GH at long term (GH by rDNA) when you perform the
treatment in children with idiopathic short stature results (ISS) may be a
relatively small average gain in final height of 3 to 9 cm, the which
cannot justify the cost of treatment. As it is not known if treatment with
GH during puberty contributes to the gain in final height, we tried to
improve cost-effectiveness by employing a design study for the
treatment of GH at high doses restricted to the prepubertal period,
however research has shown that inhibitors associated with treatment
with GH as aromatase, has delayed the advance of the end of puberty,
which causes the endocrinologist or neuroendocrinologist can usually
extend of 2 to 4 times better performance suitable for longitudinal or
linear growth height of time, although this fact is cultural as work done
in Japan where children chose to grow more than being low in stature
than having the early adult characteristics, although this detail may vary
depending on ethnicity, race or gender.
CONCLUSIONS:
GH appears to increase the rate of sexual maturation, since a pattern of
gonadotropin secretion from the pituitary puberty is established. The
ovary is a venue reception and action of GH, where it can enhance
steroidogenesis and gametogenesis directly or through endocrine
actions. Continued clinical and basic research is needed to further
characterize the role of GH in reproductive physiology.
