Speaking Notes Your employer sponsored retirement plan offers you a great way to save for retirement. Some of the benefits include: Ease and convenience - Your contributions are taken directly out of your pay check. Potentially lowers current taxable income - One of the biggest reasons to enroll in this retirement program is that it allows you to save money for retirement before federal and state taxes, if applicable, are taken out of your paycheck. Of course, your pre-tax contributions will be taxed when withdrawn from the plan. Tax-deferred growth – Taxes on earnings are deferred until you withdraw your assets.
