Employer Recommendation for Bryan Bonack: GIS Consultant
Over the past four months, Bryan has assisted me in a mapping project that
involved the creation of a GIS protocol illustrating the spatial relationships
between wildlife habitat and resort development in two Colorado mountain
communities. The job was painstaking and complex, and I recommend Bryan
strongly for a career in GIS or any field that requires diligence, perseverance and
resourcefulness, as well as team work and good humor.
Creating the protocol required assembling difficult-to-access data sets, and
minute experimentation with scale, color and texture, contrast and line width, etc.
He was asked to make fine judgment calls on how to create visually compelling
representations of the spatial correlations we were seeking. The end product is
excellent.
Bryan was steadfast and persevering throughout, jumping into the work with
enthusiasm and aplomb. He showed great resourcefulness in bringing appropriate
technologies to bear on the task at hand. As a result, he was able to create a
product in four months that is already being applied in a local land use decision
here in Boulder.
I found Bryan to be a pleasure to work with, quick on the uptake, conscientious,
unfailingly courteous, and someone whom you can count on to do what he says
he will do - when he says he will do it. He brings a positive, can-do attitude to
any challenge he is faced with, and solves problems thrown at him with
assurance and efficiency. His ability to identify the steps needing to be taken to
solve a problem is commendable.
Altogether, Bryan is a delight to work with. I know he will be a strong asset to
any company he engages with.
