Military
Flight School
You must have at least 2 years of college
English, Math, Physics, and Aeronautical Engineering
are recommended fields of study
Once hired by a company, one must go through 6-8
weeks of ground school.
Must attend training 1-2 times per year to keep license

5. Pre-Flight
Arrive at airport 1 hr prior to flight
Must look over paperwork and make any revisions if
necessary, such as different weather patterns or
different flight route
Wait for the airplane to be ready, along with all the
passengers
6. Flight
Pilot walks around airplane prior to flight to check tire
pressures. Then they inspect breaks, the engine, and
check airplane for fuel leaks or oil leaks.
Both pilots test their oxygen masks prior to take off
Wait for the O.K from flight control, and take off
