Characterization of Bacterial Isolates for Pectin Lyase Activity: attempted to identify bacterial
isolates that showed evidence for the presence and activity of pectin lyase (PMGL) using
spectrophotometry which could then be further tested to identify the best conditions for maximal
utilization of the enzyme using a 96-well plate.
September 2014- January 2015, 10-15 hours per week in lab.
