Position Summary:
Corporate Health & Safety Manager reporting directly to the Senior Vice President and Vice President
of Global Operations, accountabilities include all workers, domestic and global.
Responsibilities:
 Developed and implemented, manage, continuously improve the corporate electronic
health & safety system
 Lead the programs development during the growth from 150 workers to currently 650
workers
 Lead the programs “Best Practice’s “integration during the acquisition of 2 additional
companies.
 Insure all health & safety records, documentation, trainings and certifications are
complete, current and compliant
 Accountable for an annual budget in excess of 1 million dollars
 Continuous improvement of the health and safety strategies and PPPG’s
 Achieved COR certifications in both Alberta & Ontario Canada (Certificate of Recognition)
 Earned letters of Reciprocity from other Provinces in Canada
 Maintain requirements under the COR certification program across Canada
 Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant
hazards
 Ensure that standards and procedures are implemented and observed in order to continue
the company goal of a zero incidentobjective
 Continuously promote a strong culture of open communication
 Support/ report directly to senior management, regional VP’s, business unit leaders,
managers, supervisors and team leads to achieve compliance with Pure best practices
based on factual data and trend analysis from our HSEQ tools
 Ensure that all HSEQ events are rigorously investigated
 Support and facilitate investigations of all reported near miss/incidents and serious
recordables
 Follow up on corrective actions and preventative measures resulting from investigations
 Utilize root cause analysis tools for the investigation process to be successful and
provide training to personnel involved
 Producing management reports, newsletters and bulletins
 Drive and encourage continuous improvement principles by explaining to Leadership and
worker personnel how to develop and implement solutions for continuous improvement
 Promote the "Pure Best Practice’s" through sustained communication with all levels
 Based on statistical analysis of recorded events, makes recommendations on the training
to be provided
 Support trainings to all levels as required based on the workers tasks (Pure Best
Practice’s) and compliance regulations.
 A qualified trainer, CSE, WAH, Hazard Investigations other task related certifications
 Participates in operations reviews and promotes IMS principles
 Assists the RVPs of the regions, facility managers, PM’s with the preparation of the
required operations and site safety plans review
 Participates in quarterly operations reviews
 Inspect jobsites and facilities to assess hazards, develop safe work plans
 ensuring the safe installation and use of specialized equipment
 Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise,
safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases
Lead Audit Advisor
Enform - Calgary, AB - February 2013 to October 2013
Position Summary:
As a Lead Health & Safety Audit Advisor, in conjunction with Program Manager, you will provide
leadership and coordination of the Health & Safety Audit Analyst/Advisor team who oversee and
administer Enform and government auditing requirements in Alberta, British Columbia and
Saskatchewan. You will complete quality assurance reviews on audits performed by Enform
auditors, and will support the auditing program in other areas. This position reports to the Supervisor,
Safety Audits and Certificates while working closely with Enform auditors and clients. This position
is located in Calgary.
Responsibilities:
 Analyst Team Lead Includes: assisting Program Manager with on-boarding of new staff
including: training and coaching. Facilitate team meetings, in collaboration with Program
Manager(s) and Manager. Monitor and approve vacation requests and assist with approval
of training requests. Assist with staff performance reviews and with goal setting
 Audit quality assurance reviews: detailed quality assurance reviews of audits according to
Enform and government requirements. Provide coaching and leadership to team members
in the area of audit reviews. Appropriately coordinate the escalation of audit files that
require further study
 Monitor audit review distribution and audit options: Assist in monitoring and supervising the
flow of the audit QA cycle to ensure Enform is meeting department targets of 2-3 weeks for
audit processing. Oversee audit options in collaboration with Program Manager including:
PASE, Roll-up, Audit Plans, Team Audits and ActionPlans
 Monitor and report on auditor conduct relating to quality assurance requirements and the
Auditor's Code of Ethics. This may include completing investigations to support a decision
for auditor performance management. Participate in OSAR and Verification audits
 Auditing Standards: Implement and make recommendations for the development and/or
revision of auditing standards. Participate in the development and maintenance of audit
protocols and associated software used by Enform.
 Communication: Assist with communicating to auditors about specific issues, initiatives
and operational information. Support small employers and large employers in the
development and maintenance of their health and safety management system, as needed.
 Assist with Operational Plan activities: Assist with projects and tasks which support Safety
Audits & Certifications operational plans. Coach and monitor Safety Analysts/Advisors in
the progress of assigned projects under the operational plan.
Audit Analyst
Enform - Calgary, AB - May 2012 to February 2013
Responsibilities:
 Audited quality assurance reviews; detailed quality assurance reviews of audits according
to Enform and government requirements
 Coached and trained auditors by providing detailed feedback on audits and occasionally
delivering training
 Monitored and reported on audit conduct relating to quality requirements and the Auditor's
Code of Ethics. This may include completing investigations to support a decision for auditor
performance management
 Implemented and made recommendations for the development and/or revision of auditing
standards
 Participated in the development and maintenance of audit protocols and associated software
used byEnform
 Assisted with communicating to auditors, both in person and via email or telephone about

Bell Canada - November 2005 to November 2008

Responsibilities:
 The Health Safety and Wellness of 2100 Bell workers
 Responsible for all aspects of the Canada Labor Code Part II and the Health, Safety and
Wellness National policies of Bell Canada.
 Prime - LHSC Western Canada training and development
 Manage risk prevention
 Lead the reconstruction of Bell Canada's Western LHSC to conform under the addition and
blending of the added union component to these LHSC. Additionally recruited, trained and
implemented a new direction and attitude to its member structure which created energy that
empowered the members to take an active role that created a positive atmosphere and
empowerment for all.
 Prime - Bell Western Canada Pandemic Plan (Member of Corporate Planning Team)
 Team lead in the implementation of Bell Canada's Pandemic Plan for Western Canada
including all aspects of the National plan along with all Bell Canada's Business Units located
in Western Canada. The scope of this responsibility included the framing, implementation,
assigning responsibility, training, support and completion including table top excurses to
filter the effectiveness of each plan and subsequently making any necessary adjustments
where gaps may have been identified.
 Prime - Audit / Loss control Health & Safety
 This required recruiting a motivated team, train, direct, monitor all Bell Canada's Point of
Presents located in Western Canada, insuring locations are qualified as audited, safe and
that any short falls were identified and corrected on a timely basis.
 Prime - Workplace Inspection
 Implementation, recruitment and training of a team located in each of Bell Canada's Point
of Presents to ensure workplace inspections are completed and compliant at all times.
Additionally any recommendations for immediate compliance along with go forward
suggestions to improve corporate HS&W.
 Prime - Training & Development of all aspects pertaining to Health Safety & Wellness
 Responsible for rewriting the Corporation Incident Prevention Program along with the
development of a new Power Point Presentation for training purposes. This program was
started with categorizing the various work stations in the facilities positioned in Western
Canada, creating a training manual for this items in turn delivering this new program in the
train the trainer which in turn was deployed to the new members for localsupport.
 Prime - Compliance under Bill C 45
 Attended Western Canada's Senior Executive meetings to provide our compliance under Bill
C-45 and provided solutions to any items found to be in jeopardy of falling into a non-
compliant situation. Developed buy in from Senior Management for ongoing support for
Health, Safety and Wellness initiatives.
 Coordinator - Bell West Environmental
 Dealt with any Environmental issues that arose in Western Canada from a support
perspective in ensuring the corporate direction was completed to the satisfaction of the
regulations.
 Member Corporate Health & Safety
 Architect of Western Canada's independent Corporate Health & Safety Committees,
restructured to representing a balanced membership of employees, responsible for the re-
tooling of Bell Canada's existing H&SC policy manuals, training and implementation.

  • 4.  Responsible for all aspects of the Canada Labor Code Part II and the Health, Safety and Wellness National policies of Bell Canada.  Prime - LHSC Western Canada training and development  Manage risk prevention  Lead the reconstruction of Bell Canada's Western LHSC to conform under the addition and blending of the added union component to these LHSC. Additionally recruited, trained and implemented a new direction and attitude to its member structure which created energy that empowered the members to take an active role that created a positive atmosphere and empowerment for all.  Prime - Bell Western Canada Pandemic Plan (Member of Corporate Planning Team)  Team lead in the implementation of Bell Canada's Pandemic Plan for Western Canada including all aspects of the National plan along with all Bell Canada's Business Units located in Western Canada. The scope of this responsibility included the framing, implementation, assigning responsibility, training, support and completion including table top excurses to filter the effectiveness of each plan and subsequently making any necessary adjustments where gaps may have been identified.  Prime - Audit / Loss control Health & Safety  This required recruiting a motivated team, train, direct, monitor all Bell Canada's Point of Presents located in Western Canada, insuring locations are qualified as audited, safe and that any short falls were identified and corrected on a timely basis.  Prime - Workplace Inspection  Implementation, recruitment and training of a team located in each of Bell Canada's Point of Presents to ensure workplace inspections are completed and compliant at all times. Additionally any recommendations for immediate compliance along with go forward suggestions to improve corporate HS&W.  Prime - Training & Development of all aspects pertaining to Health Safety & Wellness  Responsible for rewriting the Corporation Incident Prevention Program along with the development of a new Power Point Presentation for training purposes. This program was started with categorizing the various work stations in the facilities positioned in Western Canada, creating a training manual for this items in turn delivering this new program in the train the trainer which in turn was deployed to the new members for localsupport.  Prime - Compliance under Bill C 45  Attended Western Canada's Senior Executive meetings to provide our compliance under Bill C-45 and provided solutions to any items found to be in jeopardy of falling into a non- compliant situation. Developed buy in from Senior Management for ongoing support for Health, Safety and Wellness initiatives.  Coordinator - Bell West Environmental  Dealt with any Environmental issues that arose in Western Canada from a support perspective in ensuring the corporate direction was completed to the satisfaction of the regulations.  Member Corporate Health & Safety  Architect of Western Canada's independent Corporate Health & Safety Committees, restructured to representing a balanced membership of employees, responsible for the re- tooling of Bell Canada's existing H&SC policy manuals, training and implementation.
