2. Requirements:
Requirement 1: Parkview Constructions required a solution for a repair
render to a concrete floor slab ends and concrete parapet walls to be
brought up to the correct level after the formwork pour left the concrete
below level requirement.
Requirement 2: A solution for a cementitious self floor leveller to
be used on the 2nd and 3rd floor area to correctly level the original
concrete slab placed.
Requirement 3: And a solution for a joint sealing to the external façade
of all construction joints.
Solution:
Sika provided a specification for Parkview Constructions and to
their contractors to scabble the newly poured slab ends & parapet
wall section. A profile required for the adhesion of a Sika Concrete
repair mortar to bring the levels back up to the correct requirement,
this consisted of the use of SikaTop 110 Epocem to the scabbled
surface, utilising galvanized pins and steel reinforcement to assist in
restraining the repair mortar. The repair mortar proposed and used
was the new Sika MonoTop 352 NFG, Sika MonoTop 615HB and fairing
coat Sika MonoTop 620.
Sika also provided a solution for a cementitious Self levelling floor
topping, Sikafloor Level Primer and Sika Level 25 product to repair
floor substrate area under original specification throughout the 2nd
and 3rd floor of the building.
Sika also provided the polyurethane joint sealing product, Sikaflex
Pro for external joint sealing to provide a weather tight seal for all
construction joints.
