3. The Student Ambassador program was launched in 2013 and enlisted students at colleges across the
country to spread the word about megabus.com by hosting small promotional events on campus.
You are one of 70 students at 35 different universities across the United States - that means there is
another ambassador on your campus who you can collaborate with to execute your events! You each will
plan and produce up to two activations per semester on your campus, or in your local community. At
each event, you will set up a table to speak with attendees, hand out premium giveaways & collect
emails. Your primary goal is to generate email leads - but most importantly we want you to introduce
fellow students to megabus.com so they’ll consider booking their next trip with us.
As a Student Ambassador, you are a megabus.com representative and extension of the brand at each
event. This means you should be knowledgeable about the company and its services. In return, you
will gain valuable professional experience in marketing, public relations, promotions and event
management.
4. At megabus.com, we are trying to reach men & women aged 18-34 who who might be
interested in megabus.com as an alternative and more affordable travel option.
Your generation values travel and spends more money on travel experiences than any
generation before them, and we have the opportunity to position megabus.com at the forefront
of this travel and experience mindset.
However, no one likes to be marketed too. Which is why we want to create an authentic, fun,
experience for our attendees. An experience that is relevant to their life and their interests.
Relaxed interactions are key. So feel free to strike up a conversation and chat with attendees
about their favorite places to travel and help explain how megabus.com can get them there.
This coming year, we will be focusing the Ambassador program on conversations that are
organically integrated into student lifestyles. You will help us inform college students about
megabus.com as well as encourage them (with the help of swag) to share their email address
so they can see more from the brand in the future.
