he fifth season of the
critically acclaimed horror
anthology series is back and
ready for blood. American
Horror Story: Hotel returns
this month to make you
regret ever checking into
a hotel. The leading actress of the
past four seasons, Jessica Lange,
is no longer in the
show and instead
is replaced by
six-time Grammy
award winning
singer, Lady Gaga.
Lady Gaga stars as “The Countess”,
the owner of Hotel Cortez, a high
end hotel in Los Angeles. The
hotel is home to many interesting
characters such as
Sarah Paulson’s hyper
creepy Sally, Kathy
Bathe’s motherly
Iris, Denis O’Hare’s
elegant Liz Taylor,
and Matt Bomer’s
most fashionable drug
addict. The plot of
Hotel centers around a
detective, played by Wes
Bentley, who checks into
Hotel Cortez and is met with many
mysteries including a killer based
on the ten commandments and a
vampiric owner. Hotel is also set
out to be the most connected of all
five seasons, featuring connections
to Murder House and other
recurring characters are said to
check in. This season is said to be
the darkest series yet and we can’t
wait to check in and stay the night.
Interesting fact about this season,
it is based on a real life hotel, The
Hotel Cecil, that has been home
to a number of mysterious deaths
and “accidents” such as the death of
Vancouver student, Elisa Lam.

Horror Story: Hotel every
