3. Firstly: equipment
Jumper cables! In this case size does matter!
Get yourself a longer set in case your battery is
hard to get for the good Samaritan jumping you.
That good Samaritan! Please don’t ask some
sketchy perv, find yourself a nice old Vermont
farmer who drives a reliable Saab.
4. Turn everything in your car off and pop
that hood !
Turn off your
headlights, dome light
, radio, (anything that may
have been the cause of your
car to die) because those
sources are still zapping
energy from your battery!

If you have a new car it wont
matter, but it helps with
starting an older model.
Now Pop
that hood like
you mean it!
6. Red to red
Connect the one of the red end of your jumper
cable set to the red (positive) bolt on your battery
and the corresponding black ( negative) to black
bolt.
7. Now do it to the booster vehicle!
• Repeat the previous step on that good
samaritan’s battery! Just remember. Red goes
with red and black goes with black!
8. Start your engines!!
They go first, give her a minute or maybe five
, and then go ahead and let her rip!
And don’t you dare turn her off!
