2. Personal Philosophy
I believe that fashion is not about the designer but the
consumer. Everyone deserves to be happy in their skin,
love themselves, and have the confidence to face the
challenges they will have in life. Everyone is different and
although there may be many similarities in styles, no one
choice is correct. That should be celebrated.
3. Lovely in Lace
Inspired by film noir, the femme fatale, and art deco, I created a collection of separates from idea through finish,
including sketches, technical flats, tech packs, and digital patterns.
6. Edwardian Butterfly
Challenge: Creation of a garment based on the opera Madama Butterfly with a budget of $10. Inspiration was drawn
from Japanese and English cultures during the opera’s time period.
7. Edwardian Butterfly
Solution: Dress was fabricated from a vintage damask tablecloth purchased at St. Vincent de Paul thrift store. The
dress was featured in the St. Vincent de Paul charity benefit fashion show.
8. Costume Millinery
While employed with a regional costume company, I created hats, character hoods, and costumes for local high
school theatrical productions for main and iconic fairytale creatures Shrek the Musical and Mulan the Musical.
9. Costume Millinery
Sourced material, created flat patterns, conducted fittings, constructed costumes. Materials included fabric, wire,
and buckram. Basic wig care and construction were also learned during this time.
10. Steampunk Costume
Beyond character costumes and millinery, I created this Victorian era steampunk costume. It included a long jacket,
bustier, and skirt.
11. Ice Queen
Inspired by Elsa from Frozen, this costume was created for a comic convention. The challenge was creating a
costume to allow movement in a heavily trafficked convention, yet stay true to the original concept.
12. The “Rare” White Peacock
Inspired by the unique and unexpected beauty of the white peacock, I created a plus size cocktail dress to celebrate
the unexpected beauty of the full figured woman.

13. The “Rare” White Peacock
Using a flatbed knitting machine and synthetic yarns, I created a dress from fabric development through to pattern
creation and construction. The knitted fringe details were created to look like hanging peacock feathers.
14. Unforgettable
A bridal collection designed with the average size woman in mind and based on nature fantasy. Taking a modern
view by including long dresses, separates and a suit, meant to encourage body positivity and diversity of all brides.
15. Unforgettable
This collection includes color and diverse styles for the first time bride, a second walk down the isle, or the bride who
does not want a dress. The crowning piece is the bridal pantsuit with a long, detachable train.
