BHP Billiton Petroleum developed the getKnowledge system to better manage and share its knowledge assets. getKnowledge uses Documentum to allow users to easily upload documents and tag them with metadata. This enables automatic matching of related documents through analogs. The system has led to increased knowledge sharing and reuse of expertise across BHP Billiton Petroleum's global operations. Blue Fish Development Group provided the technical expertise to implement the getKnowledge system using Documentum and Endeca.
