• Last year, passenger traffic at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport (STL) rose for the first time since
2012. With over 12.7 million people flying through, it was the most active year for the airport since 2008.
Increased passenger volume was the largest since 2006. The summer months are the most active with
an average of more than 1.1 million passengers May through August.
• STL now has over 50 non-stop destinations. While this is below what it was when TWA called the
airport a hub, those flights are very important to business travelers that need to reach locations
efficiently. Southwest remains the largest carrier out of STL, and has added several non-stop flights in
the past year.
