There are many types of intentional injury, but we will only
discuss some of its type.
A. Activity The teacher will show a video presentation on the steps in
conducting a primary and secondary survey.

SETTING CLASSROOM RULES In this part, the teacher set out classroom rules before the class discussion began. So, class, based on our activity a while ago, what do you think is our lesson for today? That’s right! There are many types of intentional injury, but we will only discuss some of its type. A. Activity The teacher will show a video presentation on the steps in conducting a primary and secondary survey. 1. What have you observed in the video? 2. Does the ways in conducting primary and secondary survey showed by the first aider in the video? (Refer to page 333) USE OF ICT In this part, the teacher will be presenting a video to be used as a learning resource for today’s lesson. Why is it important to assess the situation first before proceeding to the primary and secondary survey of the victim? 2. When should a primary survey of the victim be used? 3. When should a secondary survey of the victim be used? HOTS QUESTIONS D. Application Group the class into 4 or 5 teams. Demonstrate the primary and secondary survey of the victim. The team followed the primary survey step-by- step with 1-2 errors. The team followed the primary survey step-by- step with 3-5 errors. The team was not able to follow the proper procedures resulting to multiple errors. Secondary survey of the victim The team followed the primary survey step-by- step with no errors. TOTAL 50 POINTS GROUP ACTIVITY In this part, The teacher applied Objective 4: Managed classroom structure to engage learners individually or in groups in meaningful exploration, discovery and hands-on activities within a range of physical learning environment. Make a classroom structure 3. ASSESSMENT Arrange the steps in Assessing Emergency Situations. Write 1 for the first step and 5 for the last step. ____1. Look for signs of circulation ____2. Check for breathing ____3. Move the victim to the quietest place At the end of the lesson, the teacher prepares a quiz to check learner’s achievement.
