2. Strategize adequate measures while monitoring and managing customer invoices as per the vessel voyage report and
vessel timesheet from chartering department as well as follow up for payments.
Prepare P & L Accounts, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, General Ledger, MIS, Budgeting, and complete accounts functions.
Ensure timely preparation and maintenance of appropriate records of Payables & Receivables.
Formulate budgets and conduct variance analysis to determine difference between projected & actual results while
implementing corrective actions.
Ascertain and generate reports on vessel utilization, Revenue Reconciliation on a monthly basis. Prepare asset, liability,
and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information
Potentially, responsible for company insurance, licensing, contracts, supplier relationships, and import-export
requirements.
Undertake timely preparation of annual budget, monthly report, Analysis & analysis of variances with targeted figures,
preparing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual MIS reports in structured format.
Engage in debt management by ensuring timely preparation and maintenance of appropriate records of Receivables for
recovery of all payments.
Manage disputes regarding recovery of the actual cost of the voyage e.g. recovery of demurrage. Identify with
operations to confirm the increase in cost of hire and bunker consumption due to delay in completing the voyages.
Bunker Purchases – Monitor major items of expenses; analyse the purchase voyage, monthly and fuel summary, as well
as quantity and unit price.
Maintain detailed record of Off Hire recoveries for each vessel including recovery of bunker consumed during off hire
period. This also helps to analyse the asset utilization in termsof number of days of voyages, cost of hire charges and
cost of lay off quantity of cargo lifted for each voyage. Month end cost summary of each voyage.
