It discuss about WOLFGANG KOHLER’S insight of learning. It explains on what is Insight of learning, Kohler's insight with experiment on Chimpanse. Then 3 Educational Implications on Theory of Learning by Insight, general features of it.

2. INSIGHT OF LEARNING
Insight, in learning theory, immediate and
clear learning or understanding that
takes place without overt trial-and-error
testing.
Insight occurs in human learning when
people recognize relationships (or make
novel associations between objects or
actions) that can help them solve new
problems.

3. KOHLER'S INSIGHT LEARNING
Insight learning was first
researched by
Wolfgang Kohler (1887–1967).
This theory of learning differs from
the trial-and-error ideas that were
proposed before it.
The key aspect of insight
learning is that it is achieved
through cognitive processes, rather
than interactions with the outside
world.

5. EducATIONAL ImpLIcATIONS ON THEORy
OF LEARNING by INSIGHT
(i) Proceeding from whole to the part
(ii) Creating motivation
(iii) Emphasis on Understanding
6. (i) Proceeding from whole to the part:
This theory explains to us the efficacy of the
principle.
We must always proceed from the whole to
the part, so as to give a complete insight into
the subject.

10. (II) cREATING mOTIvATION
In Kohlar’s experiment
enough of the motivation
was created by keeping
the monkey hungry.
11. He was impelled to
acquire the food,
and this made him
to put his heart and
soul in the solution
of the problem.
13. (III) EmpHASIS ON uNdERSTANdING
For all higher learning,
mechanical repetition,
learning by rote,
trial and error and
blind processing are
useless.
14. What is needed is deep understanding
and insight into the problem.
Learning by insight (whether it is a geometrical
problem, arithmetical sum or scientific
experiment) saves time and energy.
15.
16. A cognitive form of learning involving the mental rearrangement or
restructuring of the elements in a problem to achieve a sudden understanding
of the problem and arrive at a solution.
17. FEATuRES OF INSIGHTFuL LEARNING
• Insight leads to change in perception.
• Insight is sudden.
• With insight, the organism tends to perceive
a pattern or organization (that helps
in learning).
• Understanding plays important role n insight
learning.
• Insight is related with higher order animals
and not with inferior animals

18. cONcLuSION
The purpose of insights is to connect head
and heart knowledge, information plus
inspiration.
The best insights reveal behaviors or
phenomena and point to solutions or ideas.
Insights are grounded in human needs and
desires, they lead to ideas that create value
in people's lives.
