3. #2 Organize all tools & supplies
• Organize all your tools prior to installation to make
for a smooth install process
• Make sure you have enough laminate for your
project – you should always have at least 5-10% for
waste.
4. Tip #3: Underlayment
• Purchase the correct underlayment for your
installation. Wood subfloors require a basic
padding; cement require a vapor barrier.
5. When the boxes are stacked, cross stack them. This will eliminate any
potential warping or bending of the laminate planks.
Room temperature should be 65 degrees Fahrenheit

6. Tip #5: Clean Subfloor
• Sweep & clean your subfloor before laying any
underlayment or flooring down.
7. Subfloor must be in good repair. If it is not intact, or smooth, make sure
this is corrected before you lay the underlayment.
Hint: laminate flooring should NEVER be installed on existing residential
carpet.
#6 – Repair subfloor
8. Do not install planks if they have any signs of damage. This could
later lead to installation issues and void your warranty.

9. #8 - Expansion Gap
• Leave a 1/4” expansion gap using spacers around
the room while installing planks
• Hint: bigger rooms require bigger expansion gaps
10. Tip #9 Cutting
• When cutting laminate panels, the rotation of the
saw blade must always cut into decorative layer of
the laminate flooring.
• Hint: do not cut in the room you are installing in
