2. • Pestera village is situated at the bottom of the
Piatra Craiului Mountain at an altitude varying
between 900 and 1200 m.
• The village is among the most striking
mountain villages in Romania and it has a
homogeneous population of around 1000
inhabitants.
3. • The area in which the land is located is called
''The Birch Hill'', the location having a great
panoramic view towards both Bucegi and
Piatra Craiului Mountains. The name ''The
Birch Hill'' comes from the large number of
birch trees which grow nearby,the land being
surrounded on 3 sides by a young forest of
this species
