2. For many years, Adam
Mickiewicz has possessed the
imagination of Polish teachers
and poetry lovers, placing in
Part III of "Forefathers’’ the
number 44. Every generation
is trying to guess the meaning
of the mysterious numbers.

4. The researchers interpreted the number 44 as
the date, on which the groundbreaking events were
expected to the Polish. Following the publication of
Part III of "Forefathers' Eve", and also shortly after
the fall of the November Uprising, people had hope
that there is something abnormal in these
numbers, and they tried to determine when the
rebirth of the fatherland will happen. Maybe it was
to be the year 1844, and maybe something had to
happen in the following 44 years? Some thought
that it would have been 44 years from Kosciuszko
Uprising, but there were other ideas.

6. Most of the speculation, however, is
associated with a person whose
identity Mickiewicz was reportedly
hiding under this symbol. It was to be
a providential man, reviver and
restorer of Poland.

7. The fruit of thinking about the biggest Mickiewicz's
riddle is the name of the most popular Polish hip-hop
band. The founders of the group „Kaliber 44” in
episode "Forefathers" in the passage have found
themselves, because the enigmatic hero of "44" is "a
terrible husband, has three faces" (the founders of the
band were three). In the interwar period there was the
fashionable view that was assumed to be predicted
by Mickiewicz that the husband and the reviver of the
Polish nation is Marshal Pilsudski. Referring to
Mickiewicz's vision, it explained the most important
moments in Polish history-from the beginning of '44
after the selection of Karol Wojtyła as a pope.

9. Marian Retelski, researcher and seeker for answers to the
question "what does the number 44 mean", found a very rational
explanation to the puzzle 44 in the "Forefathers' Eve". Reading the
"History of Polish" by Felix Koneczny, he realized that he does not
know the number of Polish monarchs. Although the authors concerned
with the history (including Adam Naruszewicz, Marcin Bielski, and even
Norman Davies) have begun counting the rulers of various forms and
the number of monarchs is always 43. So Retelski came to the
conclusion that the number 44 is simply the next of the Polish
monarchs. The context of the song also indicated that . Forty-three
previous rulers were shown after Joachim Lelewel, a friend of
Mickiewicz, whose philosophy of history has had a great influence on
the poet. Retelski jokes that the U.S. is now at this stage, which
Mickiewicz wrote in "Forefathers' Eve": George W. Bush is the 43rd
president in U.S. history.

11. "Walk in" has been the president. We
know not much about this man. This is to be
an unusual character, very charismatic,
leader of a large format. "Walk in" is to have
extensive knowledge about the human spirit,
about beings from outer space coming to
Earth, finally he has been aware of
„planetology" and will conduct our planet in a
very difficult moment.
