1. Boris Vallejo
(born January 8, 1941 in Lima, Peru) – Peruvian illustrator .
Boris Vallejo was born in Lima as the son of a lawyer. When he finished National
School of Fine Arts he emigrated in 1964 to the USA, and lives there to this day.
Vallejo is famous for fantasy paintings that show muscular heroes and scantily
clad Valkyries. His paintings decorate many calendars, movie posters and book
covers. In later years he created paintings with his wife Julia Bell.
Boris Vallejo's work is difficult to describe in one word, because his paintings are very
different. Often, the paintings depict strongmen who are fighting monsters and
other creatures. However, in most of his paintings there is a woman in armor,
which is an addition. Women are surrounded by mythical creatures, or they are in
amazing places. It happens that there are both women, and men in the painting.

special labyrinth in which he lived. The usage of bright colors to shades of
yellow meant that the picture is delicate, but firm.

colorful imagination. He is famous for his unique usage of colors. Each image is
expressed differently and everyone has their own souls. They communicate
important morals. For the first time I have seen the paintings being so full of chaos

Muskelhelden und knapp gekleideten Walküren zeigen. Seine Bilder schmücken

Die Arbeit von Boris Vallejo ist schwierig, kurz zu beschreiben, weil seine Bilder sehr

anderen Wesen kämpfen. Jedoch in den meisten seiner Bilder gibt es eine Frau in

eigenen Seelen. Sie teilen wichtige Sitten mit. Zum ersten Mal habe ich die Bilder
gesehen mit der Verwirrung so voll und ausdrucksvoll sein. Wunderbar und
