Rick & Morty Season 3 episode 2 ‘Rickmancing the stone’.
Within this episode Summer is very focused on for a change and shows more of her true
colours. The episode shows right away that Summer is not happy with the current family
relationship and the episode goes on further to show how Summer tries to deal with the
problems. Rick, Morty and Summer go to a post-apocalypses planet which is based on the
movie MAD MAX. Summer soon finds a distraction being deathstalker (A guy from the
post-apocalyptic planet). She gets into a relationship with the deathstalker as a way to distract
herself from the problems back at home. Throughout the episode Summer acts different to
her usual but soon goes back to normal once the new life she has taken at the planet is ruined
by Rick who creates a power supply for the people of the planet who then get TV’s etc and
her boyfriend becomes lazy so Summer wants to go home and the episode ends showing that
Summer has tried to hide her problems by distracting herself but doesn’t matter what it is she
will always love her home and family.
Rick & Morty Season 3 episode 3 ‘Pickle Rick’.
Within this episode I find that Rick is very focused towards hence the episode name ‘Pickle
Rick’. This episode is about Rick turning himself into a Pickle to get out of family counselling
but backfires when his plan does not work of him not being able to go to the counselling
since he is a pickle but then his family realise that he has done it to skip it and see he has a
setup of a serum hanging above him to turn him back normal when the rest of family leave
for the counselling. The episode then goes onto the main focus being Rick trying to get to
the counselling even though he’s a pickle and getting the serum, he needs to turn human
again. The episode shows John Wick referencing as Rick uses his genius mind to get to the
counselling but must go on an adventure containing him on massacre like John Wick. This
episode shows how clever Rick is and that his cleverness can be too much forgetting his
emotions and that counselling ends up helping him.
