- 7. Getting the DraughtKeg Cold The DraughtKeg should be chilled down to about 35-40°F (2-5°C). Woke up extra early to get this baby into the fridge so it would be ready for a good night. Should take about 10 hours, but more times is okay. At first, I was a little concerned that the keg would be too big, but it easily fit into my apartment’s tiny fridge, standing up straight.
