- 8. www.impacts08.netwww.beatrizgarcia.net … but this story has not really been told … • As a result, the Olympic Games, is mainly perceived, celebrated or opposed as a global sports event and a multimillion commercial venture • But what about the opportunities / provocations that may emerge out of the many other culturally significant layers embedding the Games as part of a international, historically relevant and arts inspiring movement?
