 Title: Newton’s Law of
motion and its
application.

2.  Isaac Newton was born on January 4, 1643, in
Woolsthorpe , Lincolnshire , England.
 Isaac Newton formulated gravitational theory
in 1665/1666 after watching an apple fall and asking why
the apple fell straight down, rather than sideways or even
upward.
 He formulated equation for universal gravitation that
takes the form : F= G M1M2

 Isaac Newton is best known for having invented the
calculus in the mid to late 1660s.
 He introduced newton's law of cooling as well which
states that the rate of cooling of a substance is
directly proportional to difference in temperature
between the object and surrounding. Thus, he
explained about cooling of a substance


3.  Newton's first law states that every object
will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a
straight line unless compelled to change its
state by the action of an external force.
 This tendency to resist changes in a state of
motion is inertia.
 For example : A ball rolling down a hill will
continue to roll unless friction or another force
stops it.

4.  Newton's 2nd law states that the
acceleration of an object as produced by a
net force is directly proportional to the
magnitude of the net force, in the same
direction as the net force, and inversely
proportional to the object's mass.
 For example : Rocket launch, Try to move
an object.

5.  The third law of motion states that for
every action, there is an equal and
opposite reaction.
 For example : Firing of a bullet ,
Diving off a Raft.

6.  Blood rushes from your head to your feet while quickly
stopping when riding on a descending elevator.
 The head of a hammer can be tightened onto the wooden
handle by banging the bottom of the handle against a
hard surface.


7.  Kick the ball :When we kick the ball we exert force in a
specific direction, which is the direction the ball will
move. In addition, the more forcefully the ball is kicked,
the more force we apply to it and the further away the
ball is.
 It is easier to push an empty cart in a supermarket than
to push a loaded cart. More mass requires more power
for acceleration.

8.  When you jump, your feet apply force to the
ground, and the earth applies an equal and
opposite reaction force that pushes you into the air.
 When a person is in water, the water pushes the
person forward while the person pushes the water
back, both affect each other.

