LifeNet is a long-lasting insecticide treated bednet (LLIN) which has been developed specifically to overcome the significant challenges faced with durability and effective lifespan. The optimum effectiveness of LLINs is limited by the physical durability of the fabric and the lifespan of the insecticide treatment. For malaria control programs that are often reliant on external funding the frequency of re-distribution can be a challenge to achieving sustained impact against the disease. A longer lasting net, which provides more nights of protection creates better long-term impact at a lower overall cost.
