7. Confidentiality
⢠The first thing we do with our clients before any work begins is to sign a non-
disclosure and confidentiality agreement which will ensure that sensitive
information regarding the facility, its history and its current status is kept completely

8. Assessment
⢠The process of collecting all the following data will give us a very clear picture of what the current status of the WWTP is
⢠Detailed SOP of water process from all the points of origin, the treatment process and the point of discharge to environment
⢠Detailed Environmental Review and investigation into the history of the facility and all issues regarding compliance and changes in
license parameters
⢠Detailed overview of all mechanical and electrical equipment and history
⢠Take Grab samples of all the various points of wastewater creation in the factory
⢠Take a grab sample of all the lift stations including Kitchen and office block, LAB and bathrooms
⢠Take a 24 Hr. Composite sample of the lift station feeding the wastewater treatment facility
⢠Take a sample from each of the process tanks in the wastewater treatment facility
⢠Send all samples to an independent LAB for analysis (Fitz Scientific, Drogheda)
⢠Perform some tests on site ( pH, DO, Turbidity, MLSS, etc.) and record to attach to LAB results
⢠Interview Operator and Plant Manager to determine
9. Identify the
Risk
⢠Compile the Process Review and Risk Assessment Report to determine what
aspects of the process warrant the most immediate attention
⢠Gather all the on site and LAB results, analyze and determine the functioning of
the facility
⢠Gather all the data on the complete process and determine the current state of
the facility
⢠Determine the Risk levels of all the various aspects of the process and operation
and grade out of 10. (Environmental, Process, Operational and Maintenance)
10. Offer
Recommendations
⢠After making a detailed analysis of the Environmental, Process and operation of
the facility, we make recommendations on what changes, adaptions or new
processes and equipment could be installed to bring the facility back up to the
desired standard
⢠We also work hand in hand with the EPA on some of these recommendations to
ensure that the EPA will approve of the Risk Management Plan and its duration
⢠These recommendations could include new technologies, process changes,
physical changes to the plant, operator training and more
11. Risk
Management
Plan
⢠Part of our Risk Management Plan is to work with the clientâs budget in
mind.
⢠We will determine the highest Risk down to the lowest Risk and develop a
plan over a time period which would be suited to the clients budget
⢠In some cases we work with the client and the EPA to determine a
sustainable solution to reach and maintain consistent discharge parameters
over a time period and budget which suits the client and also appeals to the
EPA
12. Implementing the
Risk Management
Plan
â˘Assist the client to implement the Risk Management Plan once the plan is
approved by the client and EPA
â˘Work hand in hand with the EPA and the client to implement the approved Risk
Management Plan
â˘Project Manage all modifications, plant equipment and process
â˘Training of operator if required
â˘Temporary Operation of the plant while changes are made
â˘Liaison with the EPA
â˘Sign over to client on completion
13. Yearly Review
⢠Every 12 months after the implementation of the plan we will revisit the facility
and review the risk management plan to see if it is going according to plan
⢠If circumstances have changed, readjust the plan.
⢠Liaison with the EPA to make sure the facility is conforming to the agreed plan
⢠Take samples as before and analyze results to determine whether the facility is
performing as required by the RMP
