incubated by the
Barrett Academy
3. The Humanity Awareness Initiative
Oxford 2018:
28 people gathered from
five continents and 10
nations to spend four days
together discussing this
question.
What would it look like if a nation was operating
from the worldview of Humanity Awareness?
ORIGINS
4. THE EVOLUTION OF
WORLDVIEWS
Since the arrival of Homo sapiens
on the evolutionary scene 200,000
years ago, six worldviews have
emerged. Each worldview was
precipitated by changes in human
living conditions that triggered
new stages of collective human
psychological development.
The worldview of Humanity Awareness, which is now
emerging, represents the seventh worldview - a collective
shift from the Individuating Stage of Personal Development
to the Self-Actualizing Stage of Personal Development.
The survival of our species is dependent on the adoption of this worldview.
5. THE HUMANITY
AWARENESS
INITIATIVE
The central key idea in the Humanity Awareness
Initiative is to accelerate the growth of human
awareness and societal wellbeing through a
global training and education initiative.
PURPOSE
6. HUMANITY AWARENESS IS
A NEWLY EMERGING
WORLDVIEW
We need a new transnational worldview.
âWe need to move beyond our narrow nationalistic self-
interest to create a world where all human beings and
creatures can thrive.â
7. HUMANITY AWARENESS IS

our problems with

create them.â

10. WORLDVIEW TRIGGERING EVENTS
The emergence of new
worldviews can usually be
traced back to a triggering
event â a tipping point â
that occurred decades or
centuries earlier.
The triggering event throws
into relief the limitations of
the dominant worldview,
thereby precipitating a shift
in conscious awareness
that challenges the status
quo and leads to the
emergence of a new stage
or substage of personal
development and a new
worldview. CLAN AWARENESS

11. In Humanity Awareness, we recognize that we are all
members of the human race â we identify with humanity.
There are no ethnic, religious, or gender divisions in Humanity
Awareness. The Earth is our collective home.
We are transnational and we are
global.
12. In addition to improving social welfare,
Humanity Awareness also focuses on psychological
welfare.
Whereas social welfare in People Awareness solved the
problems associated with meeting peopleâs deficiency needs,
psychological welfare in Humanity Awareness will solve the
problems associated with meeting peopleâs growth needs.
13. From being at the very
bottom of the European
economy in 1860, the Nordic
nations climbed to the top in
the 1930s and have remained
prosperous and progressive
ever since.
HAS ANY THING LIKE
THIS
BEEN DONE BEFORE?
YES!
14. The Nordic population needed to
develop a sense of collective
identity at the level of the nation â
they needed moral, emotional and
cognitive development. They
needed to individuate â the shift
from Socialized Mind to Self-
Authoring Mind.
The leaders wanted the
population to âauthorâ their
own lives and take part in
the âauthoringâ of a new
society.

BREAKOUT QUESTION
38. HAI CORE PRINCIPLES
1. BECOMING
CONSCIOUS
Becoming aware of how your actions and behaviours impact your relationships and the
natural world.
Becoming aware of how your thoughts, beliefs and values impact your mental and physical
health.
Caring about the impact your actions and behaviours have on others and the natural world
and caring about the impact your thoughts and beliefs have on your mental and physical
health.
39. HAI CORE PRINCIPLES
2. INTERNAL
ALIGNMENT
Embrace your self-expression: Discover, access, and develop your natural gifts and talents
so you can find meaning and purpose in life.
Connect with others in empathic relationships: Use your gifts and talents to make a
difference in the world.
Contribute to the wellbeing of humanity: Improve the lives of others and future generations
through compassionate acts of service.
40. HAI CORE PRINCIPLES
When we reach the individuating stage of psychological development, we shift into values-
based decision-making. One of the best ways to facilitate this transition is to teach people
(children) how to explore their values and how to make values-based decisions when they
are young.
3. VALUES-BASED

FINANCE
In the worldview of Humanity Awareness,
we will apply our higher consciousness to
use of financial capital. Capital will
become a FORCE FOR GOOD to support
the well-being of society and the planet.
We will build new economic and financial
systems that bring prosperity to all and
ensure that everyone is cared for and the
birthright of future generations is
preserved.
43. EDUCATIO
N In the worldview of Humanity
Awareness, we will move into child-
centered values-based education
programs that support children in
staying close to their souls. Such
programs will seek to support the
development of childrenâs natural gifts
and talents; to connect with others in
unconditional loving relationships, and
to contribute to the well-being of the
world.
HUMANITY AWARENESS
INITIATIVE
44. HUMANITY AWARENESS
INITIATIVE
LEADERSHI
P In the worldview of Humanity Awareness,
we will see have more full-spectrum
leaders who have the courage to face
their fears, challenge the status quo,
persevere when things get tough, risk
everything for the cause they believe in,
and do all these things without any
regard for personal gain. They want to be
the best for the world, not the best in the
world.
HUMANITY AWARENESS
INITIATIVE
45. BUSINESS
In the worldview of Humanity
Awareness, the focus of business will
be on creating a meaningful economy â
one that allows people to thrive in
psychologically healthy cultures with
work that supports full human evolution
and the ecology of the planet. To this
end, all businesses will embrace the
HAI and the UNâs Sustainable
Development Goals.
HUMANITY AWARENESS
INITIATIVE
46. HEALTH
In the worldview of Humanity
Awareness, we will move into
psychotherapeutic and energy
approaches to healing as well as health
maintenance and disease prevention.
This will come about through a deeper
understanding of the impact of egoâsoul
dynamics on the human energy field and
the importance of cultural and
environmental factors on physical and
mental well-being.
HUMANITY AWARENESS
INITIATIVE
47. JUSTICE
In the worldview of Humanity
Awareness, the focus of the justice
system will be on restoring people to
wholeness. All those who commit
crimes will be supported in their
psychological rehabilitation. Every
prisoner will be assigned a
mentor/coach â someone they can turn
to for support as they attempt to
individuate and self-actualize.
HUMANITY AWARENESS
INITIATIVE
48. THE ARTS
The Arts holds the key to the flourishing
of Humanity Awareness, because it is
the key to self-expression. The Arts
provide an avenue for us to express our
unique gifts and talents in service to the
growth and well-being of humanity. In
the worldview of Humanity Awareness,
children and teenagers are encouraged
to express their natural skills and
talents.
HUMANITY AWARENESS
INITIATIVE
49. GENDER
The key to gender relations in the
worldview of Humanity Awareness is
not external equality (that is, what we
learned in People Awareness),
but internal balance â each gender
becoming whole through the integration
of female energies of Yin in the male,
and the integration of male energies of
Yang in the female.
HUMANITY AWARENESS
INITIATIVE
50. ENVIRONMENT
In the worldview of Humanity
Awareness, we will learn to steward the
Earth and conserve its natural resources.
We will make sure all our plans take
account of the needs of future
generations. We will design our
businesses and our homes to harness
natural energy and generate zero waste.
We will go beyond sustainability to focus
on ecological and societal resilience.
HUMANITY AWARENESS
INITIATIVE
51. GOVERNAN
CE In the worldview of Humanity
Awareness, we will move into direct
representation by the people around the
core idea of providing well-being for
everyone, where well-being is defined
as the ability to meet the needs of the
stage of development you are at.
Professional politicians will be replaced
by local and national delegates of
different age groups.

Hinweis der Redaktion
Isnât your first underlying preamble that human evolution is to be seen in terms of consciousness evolution? That evolution can be summarized in 7 stepsâŚin one slide.
This is the next step of our consciousness evolution
The yellow box may justify a whole slide in and by itself in huge fonts
Why not use the 7 symbolic rainbow/chakra colour scheme here from red to purple used elsewhere in your publications?
The 2nd statement on âbeliefsâ and âvaluesâ is the gem of the presentation and deserves a slide of its own.
Define words: âdeficiency needsâ, âgrowth needsâ (showing a Maslow type diagram first?) and âwelfareâ vs âwellbeingâ vs âhappinessâ
Define âBildungâ: education and psychological growth in German
Deserves two slides: 1- map alone and 2- awareness levels
Can we qualify that âchangeâ by moving âone step up on the consciousness scaleâ ?
NB: HIERARCHY (SPELLING)
Why not use the same symbolic colour scheme for the boxes as for the numbers?
