PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2006 – Present Infrastructure, Anaheim, CA
Project Manager
• Provide Boeing Core Infrastructure Engineering Project
Management and leadership support to the CNO
Organization. Initiate, Plan, Execute, Control and Close
projects by developing project plans, acquire team
resources, track performance, communicate objectives,
status and performance metrics, manage project risks,
issues and action items, integrate inter-project
dependencies, and manage project change. Maintain status
reports of program and customer commitments and monitor
performance to plan and schedule projects. Apply business
judgment to overcome program difficulties with schedule,
commitment, cost, and pricing. Proficient with Microsoft
Project, governed by Macro scope Productivity Center
processes.
Planning and execution of large-scale, complex programs
consisting sub-projects across multiple locations, with teams
consisting of members representing CIE and Boeing IT, as
well as programs and business units. Projects are rated as
Category 1 and 2 Initiatives with regular presentations to
executives and senior management regarding status on
schedule, budget, and scope and risk management. Strong
emphasis on team-building, working relationships,
mentoring and delivering results within project teams,
leading to successful completion of projects on-time. All
projects follow the Application Development and Sustaining
2. (AD&S) process, as needed. Track application migrations
using Dell Transformation Manager Tools.
Member of Boeing IT, Information Technology Infrastructure
(ITI), Data Center Modernization (DCM), supporting Data
Center Modernization Projects. Boeing established the
direction to develop and deploy common applications and
infrastructure across the enterprise into strategic data
centers. In support of this direction, and to capture
considerable near-term cost reduction opportunities, The
Data Center Modernization project also has the lead
responsibility to phase out data centers and small site server
rooms as new data centers come on line.
Currently working as Project Manager for DCM Mainframe
Retirement Category 1 Project. Providing project plans for
Mainframe Retirement, with critical path by application to
retire the Mainframes and LPARs. Once we have the project
plan build, we add actions identified as possible cost
reductions to the schedule. This gives the Mainframe Team
the information needed to start discussions with the ADM
Leadership Teams on what help is needed to reduce the
Mainframe cost and also improve the retirement date for
Mainframe Environment. Manage detailed project activities
to be sure we meet retirement date that will allow us a cost
savings target of $20M per year by 6/30/2018.
Project Manager of the Server Virtualization Project. Boeing
significantly reduced the distributed server “footprint” by
adopting virtualization technology throughout the enterprise.
Servers supporting development test, and sustaining
application systems (line of business and infrastructure)
migrated onto virtualization technology. This was to support
the enterprise three year target of a 50% reduction in
physical servers 2008 through 2010. We exceeded x86
Server Virtualization Project to the agreed Scope, Time, Cost
and Quality. Cost Savings to the Business 100M, we now
have less physical servers and more VM servers enterprise
wide.
