This presentation describes how to use serious educational games to promote the interest of young people in classical theater. We have developed a methodology to produce low cost adventure games out of the classical theater play. This has been applied to Lope de Vega "The foolish lady" play and prove effective in a large experiment (700+ students) in schools in Madrid Region.

Several researchers support that the use of entertainment videogames as learning experiences offering excellent educational design with challenge, motivation, and learning principles that may even be used to improve traditional educational approaches (Gee, 2003; Hwang et al., 2012; Papastergiou & Solomonidou, 2005; Sung & Hwang, 2013).
Nevertheless, while there are many ‘‘educational” video games marketed, these are not the games children tend to prefer (Facer, Furlong, Furlong, & Sutherland, 2003; Kinzie & Joseph, 2008).
