2. Introduction of company
• The company Came into existence in
1984 with a purpose of manufacturing
high quality plastic injection moulds.
The have been manufacture plastic
injection mould up to 1300-ton capacity.
Moulded parts are supplied to various
Automobiles, household and home-
appliance industries
3. DIFFERENT PARTS OF MOULD
• A mould is basically a
component that contains two
different assembled parts.
These are punch assembly
and cavity assembly.
• In Injection Moulding Machine
The Cavity is fixed to the fixed
platen of the machine
• The core is fixed to the
moving platen of the machine
4. The material used in the mould
• P-20 :-used for core and cavity
• EN-36:-used for guide pin,guide bush
etc
• OHNS:-used for inserts, finger pin etc
• MS:-used for locating ring, cam rod.
• COPPER:-used for electrode
5. CAVITY ASSEMBLY
• Locating ring provides proper alignment
to the nozzle and sprue bush
• Sprue bush is the channel between the
nozzle and runner
• This cavity plate contains runner which
carries the material and gate which is
restriction in the runner
8. Core assembly
• Ejector plate assembly contains
• ejector plate and ejector back plate
• ejector guide pin and ejector guide bush
• Inserts
9. MOLD INSERTS
• MOLD INSERTS
• The punch and cavity are actually inserts
which are inserted in metal block .
• This causes it to be economical and the
insert can be changed when damaged .
• Generally the inserts are made of hard
material and the block made of cheaper
material . Also hardening can be easily
done of insert .
• The Bolster plates are housing for these
inserts.
10. venting
• Venting is necessary
because While
injecting the melt,
the air from the
mould is required to
be escape
11. DRAFT ANGLE
• The purpose of draft is to first provide
release from the core side of the mold
12. BOLTING
• There is different size of bolts used in a
mould to assemble different parts. The
bolts used in most application in a
mould are Allen bolts.
